Everyone is blaming the House for nothing getting done. Because most measures they pass are DOA when they hit the Democratic controlled Senate.

So in the event the Repubs win the Seante (I know it's a very remote possibility at this point).

When those bills get to the President to sign and his vetoes it.

Can we start calling President Obama the President of "no". Like the Dems have called the House and the Republicans the party of "no?"

It's only fair, isn't it?

Remote? IMO there is no way they can NOT win the Senate. People are so infuriated over Obamacare, Obama's foreign policy ignorance, the scandals, etc that the Democrats have zero chance of keeping the Senate. It will be another 1994/2010.

Barack won't have a chance. The GOP will be able to impeach and actually REMOVE him from office with both chambers. Barack will be so tied up in litigation that he won't have time to do anything.

I think with the way the elections went in 2012, I think it's smart that nobody predicts anything right now, 8 months from election day. 2012 was the year that many people thought was the GOP's to win, it didn't turn out that way

This isn't about Barack having a chance. This is about having the tables turned on Obama and seeing if the media will call Obama the President of No with his veto power.

I am already guessing the liberal media has thought of excuses rather than saying he's th "No" President. They will spin it that every veto that takes place is "Obama" exerting the constitutional power of the Presidency.

Sure.
But Obama has a long way to go before he can match the veto records of several past Presidents.

So far, Obama has used the veto once. 1 time.
Compared to:
Bush- 11 vetoes, 1 pocket veto
Clinton- 36 vetoes, 1 pocket veto
GHW Bush- 29 vetoes, 15 pocket vetoes
Reagan- 39 vetoes, 39 pocket vetoes
Carter- 13 vetoes, 18 pocket vetoes
Ford- 48 vetoes, 18 pocket vetoes.

All are pikers compared to FDR- 372, and 263 pockets. Cleveland was close at 304 and 110.

List of United States presidential vetoes - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Call him the President of No if you want, but the claim is ridiculous and laughable.

Oh, friend! It's time to lay off the Spaten for a while!
The GOP isn't going to impeach Obama. That would kill their chances for any Presidential candidate in 2016, and most likely 2020. Remember what happened to the Republicans the last time they indulged in such nonsense?
If you have forgotten, Newt Gingrich will sadly remind you, along with most of the former leaders of the GOP House. Their failed attempt at impeachment ended up in a game of Russian roulette, with all cylinders in the pistol loaded.

The GOP isnt that stupid. They realize they are outnumbered and they would have a Scott Walker affect. kick him out and they are dead in 2016.

just look at the 2016 Senate map

The Democratic seats up are in California,Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Colorado, New York, Maryland Connecticut, and Vermont

That is about as safe a field as you will ever see in politics. With the exception of Harry Reid, all those Democrats are popular within their states polling above 55%

Where as the Republican are going to have to defend seats in Arizona, Iowa, Missouri, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Florida, North Carolina, Georgia and New Hampshire(as well as their own red state senators).

impeaching a President is political suicide for a party because all you have done is **** off the other Party's base.

so go ahead, install Joe Biden as President, The super majority in the senate for Democrats will last for atleast 6 years(2016 to '24)

And The house would flip to the Dems as well.

It really doesn't matter how many seats in what states are up, it matters how many open seats in certain states are up. Very very few senators in either party are ever voted out of office, they are almost always re-elected if they run, the real races are for vacant seats, and that is why 2014 is such a big deal, I cannot remember an election with as many vacant seats as this year.

But I agree in the fact that Obama won't be impeached, and going down that route will only do harm to the republicans. The best thing republicans could do in the next few years is nothing, make it so that the media has nothing to talk about besides the failings of the president (Obamacare, etc).

Whenever the mslm has a chance to smear a republican they do. Just look at the IRS testimony this week. The media isn't talking about Lerner taking the 5th and why that is happening, they are talking about two commited members getting into a pissing contest.
