What becomes of rights when police can surveil and take down 'suspects' remotely?

Watch a man get stunned by the Chaotic Unmanned Personal Intercept Drone (stun copter!)
"The Chaotic Unmanned Personal Intercept Drone, or "stun copter," can deliver 80,000 volts of pure projectile terror directly into the skin of an ill-intentioned hoodlum. Watch a man get stunned by the stun copter."

It's pretty psychotically dissociated now. I am sure this will only be one more option for the young ones amped on testosterone and plenty of gaming hours. Automating it will also be an option with AI.

Without commenting on whether there should or shouldn't be drones, blah, blah, blah - the premise of the OP is illegitimate. The right to "argue" your rights is when you're in front of a judge. People have never had the right to "argue" their rights with the police officer who takes them into custody.

You gave up your rights with the Patriot Act.
We are all presumed guilty until we prove our innocence now.

When the Patriot Act was signed all the naysayers were put down and dismissed.
Their predictions were called "tin foil".

Government took advantage of a fearful people to make a power grab.
And once you give it away you can never get it back.
If anything the power grab keeps inching, keeps taking more.

That reminds me.
Those pistols that can shoot a .45 cartridge or a .410 shell.
Hard to conceal on a hot day.

I don't know, but my recommendation is that you continue to do what you do best, and that is display the highest degree of apathy to allow local law enforcement to gain continuously more powers, until such time in the future that you have no control whatsoever over local law enforcement.

Let us not forget that yours is the morally superior position, because we all know that members of your community exist solely on this Earth to be subjected to overwhelming police power and abuse to provide you endless hours of entertainment on Useless Tube for your personal enjoyment, and to provide a basis for you to rant on forums.

Critically...

Mircea

There's an old saying that predates drones, the Patriot Act, Etc. Etc., That is....

"You can beat the rap but you can't beat the ride." Cops have traditionally taken you into custody for any reason or no reason at all. It has always been so. This isn't some new development. They let the judge sort it out.
