I think you totally missed the intent of the OP but that's ok. The point is I understand Republicans just a little more as income was taken away from me and is now be distributed by a committee instead.
Kind of like taxes.

Every 3 months if we worked safely with no lost time injuries and we all made an effort to go to safety meetings ect, we would get a Visa $100 gift card. Not a lot of money but it always came in handy.
Policy changed. Now the safety committee is going to decide where to spend that money with "input" from us

You need cash rewards to work safely? What the hell?
So, without the cash reward, it doesn't matter if people get hurt? "Hey, let's be sloppy. It doesn't matter if Jim Bob loses his hand or if someone slips and breaks a hip. There's no $100 Visa card in it for me to be careful, so why bother?"

I find it hilarious that you think getting a $100 Visa gift card for doing your job correctly and safely and where you can spend that Gift card is somehow considered a "redistribution of wealth"!
It's a perk and not part of your salary! It's like complaining about getting a $100 Gift card from Target! Guess where you can only spend it?
