I am glad Bush handeled it the way he did, which is the same way US is handing Ukraine. There are practically no national security interests whatsoever for US in either Georgia or Ukraine. West Europe has interests there, so our only duty is to side with our European allies, nothing more, nothing less. West Europe is NOT willing to rattle sables, so why should we?

It's too funny the very same people who pretended to be libertarian "stop world policing" people few months ago, suddenly want to play the world police because Obama played the libertarian foreign policy card. Anything goes as long at they are in disagreement with Us foreign policy. Putin must be amused as hell.

That is correct. I'll say it again... it would be like Russia meddling in an issue that we had with one of our neighboring countries, and trying to tell us what to do. We wouldn't like it too much.

There were those who protested the impeachment of Yanukovich, but it's not like a faux election was set up. A temporary government was established with a May 25, 2014 election slated, to allow for proper democratic action. See stories from Al Jazeera and the Kyiv Post, in case you don't want anything controlled by 'murricans...

But what has happened since, has been an unprecented landgrab by Putin. Not since the USSR immediately after WWII, has there been such an aggressive push forward. I suppose poor Georgia is next...

Hey man, if you don't count yourself among those conservatives who are cheering Putin or justifying his actions, then don't worry about it. The reputation of your fellow conservatives is ****e around the world no matter what I or anyone else says on this forum.

So just deal with it.

But the fact remains it's basically the right in America who has found it within otherwise frigid hearts to make excuses for Putin and relish in the lack of options facing Obama.

Because as long as it makes Obama look bad, it's... good!

I guess it is not a illegal act to stir up minority protestors and fund them to oust a elected Ukraine president which I am sure is against the Ukraine constitution. If you say that he fired on protestors so far there is no proof of that but if he did does that make him worse then us. If there was a protest in DC that turned non peaceful the U S gvt would do the same thing and you know it.

If the same were done to Obama would the Bots approve?

He was not deposed by the EU or the US, he was impeached by his own parliament after three months of violent demonstrations in which over 100 of his citizens lost their lives, and his supporters all fled to Russia...then he did.

Elections were always planned for May 25, upon his impeachment.

We are talking about Russia storming Crimea with its military and trying to make a country that is not Russia into Russia. Stay on topic please and get with the program. Stop trying to troll or divert this to something else.
