but to require photo ID in order to vote? Now THAT'S obviously a nefarious Republican plot.

Great logic.
Logic? Where do you hallucinate there was any logic in that post?

Don't know. Don't care.

Almost certainly different purposes in each different venue. But in none of them would it deny an eligible voter the right to exercise the franchise.

Almost certainly not. Like I said, different venues different purposes. Why would any thinking person assume that the same purpose would make sense in different venues?

Seriously?

Because we know that Voter ID has nothing actually to do with voter fraud.

And of course, so do you.

You know, it really does not matter how often you repeat this lie. It will not ever become the truth. We all, each and every one of us, have an interest in taking tiny steps to be sure that those who vote alongside of us have the right to do so. Courts have affirmed this notion. It is not racist, it is not partisan, it is a simple matter of preserving the integrity of the system--one that has been abused at times in the past, and will be abused at times in the future. We all have an interest in the integrity of the system--unless we are among that small minority that is bent on abusing the system.

Sad you think Voter fraud is meaningless. It's one of the most important things we have here in the US.

Don't be silly. Even Republicans often admit it is the truth.

Generally no. In these specific cases, absolutely.

In the context of Voter ID laws, it's not actually even relevant.

No more sending ballets from your bedrooms.

No more sending ballots from Kenya (or other parts while on vacation).

Military only absentee voting (when overseas).

Either you register and show up with a valid ID at the poll or .. sad to be you!

Voting, like driving is a privilege .. not a Right!
Voting is a right and a privilege and an obligation.

And voting fraud involves actually casting a vote. Did Mickey Mouse ever cast a vote in a real election???? No.

And I don't even know what you mean, "no more sending ballets from your bedrooms." WTF???

And your absentee voting restriction is ridiculous!!!!! People actually have LIVES. They have to travel, they have business, medical issues, and so on. Absentee voting works to ensure that people who legally have the RIGHT to vote have the opportunity to vote.

And we need the people who organize elections in this country to actually be ORGANIZED. This four-hour waiting in line to vote that's happened during the past couple of elections is because of poor planning and organization.

Since you have no way of proving who they voted for, meaningless.
