Did I read the press on this wrong....I thought it was reported that a struggle ensued; implying a physical altercation? If so, it will significantly impact whether this guy gets indicted or not.

I hope someone as dumb as this hayseed ends up in jail

I mean really...He thought he was protecting his daughter?

Yeah...right. He knew damn well why the guy was in that room.

The link says that the father claims that the kid reached for something...

Of course, that's the new universal excuse for every idiot that does something stupid with a gun.

From this article it says the girl told her father she didn't know the boy.
The father told the boy not to move.
The boy reached for something and the father shot him.

The younger kids went to the father and said there was a stranger in his daughter's room.

Rapist snuck through window and was raping daughter ?
That could very well have been going through his mind.

The girl later admitted she knew the boy and invited him to her room.
A little too late to come out with the truth now that the boy is dead.

No charges were pressed and it's going to the grand jury for a decision.

If he thought the boy was in the house uninvited then he probably acted within reason in the eyes of the court. Dumb girl who lied got her "friend" shot.

It's pretty convenient that the kid "reached" for something when in all likelihood he was frozen in complete fear at the sight of a father with a gun.

That doesn't add up. Dad knew why that boy was in that room.

Well that's your opinion.
The case is going to the grand jury for a decision.
Doesn't seem that cut and dry to the police.

What if the girl corroborated his story of the boy reaching for something ?

A naked kid could have been reaching for his pants.

Imagine the father..thinking he shot an intruder attacking his daughter only to find out after the fact that his daughter lied and knew the kid and invited him there.

Article also says the father was brought to the hospital too but didn't say why.

If the daughter would not have lied.....what would have happened?
