Very sad that this girl has been taught that all women are "suppressed" - she is going to Duke to get a degree in "Women's Studies" and feels that she is finally "free" because working as a Porn Star empowers and fulfills her.
What in the world does she think a degree in "Women's Studies" will do for her? I guess it doesn't matter, she is now away from school while she "thinks" about what she is doing, although she claims that Duke University completely supports her Porn for College program. I would put money on her never completely any degree at all at Duke.
She is living in a really messed up Fantasy World of some sort, but she didn't find that world on her own - she was led to it.

What are these Leftists doing to our children, and how did her parents miss this crazy viewpoint of life?. How can an 18 year old come out of high school with such a skewed outlook on both women and education? It boggles the mind.

That was funny.

That's her story. Every w*ore and every strip dancer has one. I heard some myself.

Funny thing, that YouTube clips below says: "Porn to pay tuition with Russian president Putin on the phone"

Nice

According to Miriam Weeks, she didn't want to bother her already debt ridden parents, and Duke wouldn't give her financial aid, because her father, who is a physician, simply made too much to qualify for pell grant and federal student aid. In several interviews with various papers, Weeks stated that despite her family's inability to afford tuition, she was determined to graduate debt free, therefore she jumped at the opportunity to enter into a 5K a month payment plan agreement with Duke. Weeks believes that she will be able to afford her "education." According to her, she makes $1,200 - 2,000 per scene. Her agent has stated that she earns anywhere between $10K - 15K per month.

I feel sympathy for this young girl, because she doesn't understand the true purpose of education. Education is meant to free and enlighten us, not enslave and entrap us in false delusions.

This is quite sad to watch.

She's an adult, and is taking on the responsibility to make ends meet. I see no problem here. Ironically, she'll likely made a lot less money once she gets a job in her career field.

ADULT FILM STAR BELLE KNOX INTERVIEW - YouTube

Oh well................... people will do what they need to do. I am surprised that a physician would not shell out the cash for his daughter so that she did not have to do porn.

When I was interviewing for med school at Yale many years ago, the staff members, depicting the "eclectic" nature of the students, noted that one student was a former porn star. It did not seem to bother them at all. I guess it does not bother me either.

No such thing as a time machine. Those of us who frittered it away can't go back and be straight A students in high school anymore.

However, I don't have the looks to be a porn star and I don't plan to be your plumber, so I'll take the best education I can get. That's different than the one you could get.
