So there was a three year sting operation. A lobbyist offered politicians money in exchange for votes to both Democrat and Republican politicians, Black and White. Encounters were taped. However the only politicians caught accepting the bribes were Black and Democrat. Thus the new democrat AG cancels the investigation.

Quote:
The Pennsylvania Attorney General's Office ran an undercover sting operation over three years that captured leading Philadelphia Democrats, including four members of the city's state House delegation, on tape accepting money, The Inquirer has learned.

Yet no one was charged with a crime.

Prosecutors began the sting in 2010 when Republican Tom Corbett was attorney general. After Democrat Kathleen G. Kane took office in 2013, she shut it down.

In a statement to The Inquirer on Friday, Kane called the investigation poorly conceived, badly managed, and tainted by racism, saying it had targeted African Americans.

Those who favored the sting believe Kane killed a solid investigation, led by experienced prosecutor Frank G. Fina, that had ensnared several public officials and had the potential to capture more. They said they were outraged at Kane's allegation that race had played a role in the case.

Before Kane ended the investigation, sources familiar with the inquiry said, prosecutors amassed 400 hours of audio and videotape that documented at least four city Democrats taking payments in cash or money orders, and in one case a $2,000 Tiffany bracelet.

That's pretty wretched. I read through the article and one of the women who received an envelope with $2000.00 dollars in it stated that it could have been a birthday present! I'm surprised some even responded to any questioning. From what the article states it's clear that the investigation was sealed because the offenders weren't diverse enough.

This is how the moonbat left operates. It's a play book of canned responses

Your a racist.
Its Bushes fault.
Your sources are bad.
You hate poor people.
You want to suppress dead people from voting.

Moonbats are a scourge that needs cleaned up just like they were doing. If the shoe fits..

This reminds me of the black panthers walking free after they were video taped in fronting a polling place threading voters. It is a racial thing if you look at it from the 30,000 foot level. It's just not racial bias as blacks like to point out when they get caught with their hand in the cookie jar. It's a behavior problem based on race.

Did you read the part where the Feds told Kane the case was full of holes, and couldn't be prosecuted? And that the case was "stale" (suspended for a year) while Corbett was still AG?

Looks like the disgruntled former prosecutor on the case, Fina, leeked everything, to set himself up for a run for Kane's job ( or whichever Dem beats Corbett in Nov).

Too bad, cuz it DOES look like some crooks are gonna skate. Gotta make those cases TIGHT folks.

LOL at this story, it is funny in regards to the conversations the informant supposedly had with the politicians. The one where the informant gave the congress woman $1000 and she said "Oh good lookin, and ooowee" was particularly amusing lol.

That said, this investigation by all accounts was based solely on an informant going undercover who had multiple charges for fraud so unless the information from the investigation is released, I don't put much into what is shown in the article. I am always leary when people are offered deals in exchange for testimony or undercover work as the people testifying and working undercover are already usually deemed as criminals and/or liars. The one involved in this case was a known fraud committer so he may very well have committed some smaller frauds while on this case.

We have had similar sorts of ethics investigations here in the state of GA and here I think there was one white politician who was charged but all the rest were black and many have said the same thing that was stated in this article - that they didn't do it. I am unsure of PA but here in GA our media is always investigating government fraud and a lot of the things found here were very small in comparison to what is alleged in PA yet those people still were charged and a few of the black people here did cry about racism and also the singular focus on Democrats since our state is primarily republican. One also said he was singled out due to him trying to prove the FBIs involvement in covering up a lynching here in the state of GA decades ago and many people believe him.

But I would assume the investigation was bad and that is why they cancelled it there. I am always suspicious of these investigations and informants due to a case that happened in my own neighborhood that turned out to be a bunch of lies by the police department.

But many aspects of the article was very entertaining.
