Not many people in California or Texas want to join Mexico, not even the Mexican immigrants and the Mexican - Americans.
Except for the Reconquista fruitcakes.

Burden of proof is on you. Get to it, buddy.
Harrier is beginning to doubt that you live in Los Angeles.

The civil war proves there is no right to session. No matter the vote outcome... The last time states tried to pull away from the US, the federal government put the smack down...

The majority of the people of Mexican heritage in Los Angeles are Mexican Americans (US citizens)... California is not annexed by Mexico, trust me...

Well I guess a guy from the La Times is asking the same kind of question:

Does Putin have a point about secession? - latimes.com

" In 1869, the Supreme Court ruled that the Union was “perpetual” and “indissoluble.” A state can check in, but it can’t check out."

So I guess if it happened here, the Union would go to war to prevent them from trying to leave,
again...

Giving the border states to Mexico wouldn't accomplish anything. Mexico would still be a crappy place to live, it would be bigger, and Its people would still come to the US in droves.

But the US might be better without Texas, assuming we can keep the oil, kinda like we do in Iraq.

I wouldn't be happy seeing a big chunk of our fellow Americans leaving, oh and all those fortune 500 companies, it'll take a chunk out of our GDP, losing some important military bases, etc..
