Those who can and are willing to pay more, get more.

Those in the individual plan markets that choose or default to lower costs plans will likely have fewer choices than those in higher level individual and large group plans.

An MD may, for example, accept one BCBS plan and not another because of differences in payments. This was and remains true before and after the ACA.

Considering the way many European countries calculate their infant mortality and other statistics, I would not believe their cancer stats either. For example, outside of the UK and Scandinavia, most European countries exclude birth before a certain gestational age (even if the fetus is born alive), births under a certain birthweight (usually 500 gm, 1.1 lbs), or babies that die within 24 hours from their infant mortality numbers. [Canada and Australia also compute their stats like the US.] This is where I part company with many health care reformers.
Even if males have a higher accident rate, it still pales in comparison with the health care costs of being a woman or being old.

A little OT, but still relevant, the most expensive health care for someone is end of life care, because of this people who smoke will actually spend less on health care during their life than a healthy individual. Both parties (smoker and healthy person) will receive end of life care, but the smoker you take out the last 20 years of life (55-75) generally, where much more is spent on health care.

But the payment was higher for Medicaid before Obamacare so doctors were willing to see more Medicaid patients. Now that the payment has been reduced doctors cannot see as many patients, thus coupled with more Medicaid patients being on the books has led directly to a rationing of healthcare for Medicaid patients. This is a direct result of Obamacare.

Wrong. You can sign up for insurance any month.

You can still sign up for off-marketplace insurance or Medicaid after open enrollment. Medicaid can even start up to two months retroactively while private insurance typically starts on the 1st of the following month if purchased before the 15th.

I would have voted for Romney if he had a different position on the ACA ( not that my vote would have mattered in my blue state). Heck, a one year delay in the roll out so his admin could get their arms around it, would have been reasonable given the transition. Would this have been enough for him to get elected? We'll never know.
I have a Reader's Digest article from '08 that stated he did it himself.

Anyone who has insurance of any kind is paying for other people's health care. Plus, if you pay taxes, you're paying for health care for many of the uninsured.

Reagan mandated that, when he signed an order requiring ERs not to turn folks away over lack of insurance in 1986. We have funded, for decades, via our taxes, funding for care not paid for, at every hospital in the nation.

Which now makes liberals mad. It is quite the quest to find out the mind of the liberal as they are a lost cult it seems.

The expression, "Stupid is as stupid does", comes to mind.
