Correct, most of them are highly motivated and put in 12 to 14 hour days 7 days a week despite the fact they could be sitting on a beach sipping pina coladas. Same thing goes for CEO's of major firms, frankly I never understood why someone would want that job.
There are none. So why are schools/parents still telling kids to "study".. "go to university".. "get a degree".. "Get a good job" ?.. when the evidence shows you just end up as a slave working 8 hours a day, earning pitiful 5/low-6 figure salary whereas those that opened their mind from this BS view on life are earning well into 6 figures.. in a MONTH, let alone a year, and doing so without being "stuck" in a 9 to 5. I mean with the internet and magazines around, people hear/read about billionaires.. they like their lifestyle but they make no effort to learn from and emulate their success and want to make do with a 9 to 5.. nowadays (unlike before, when it was exclusive to the USA) every country has laws that give you freedom and the right to succeed to those levels. Anyone can do it, not just a selected few.
Have to laugh at the "9 to 5" in the thread title. Billionaires who've earned and amassed their own wealth (and the majority have, slightly more than 2/3) work a lot more hours than just 9 to 5. Forbes did an in-depth study of the top 400 wealthiest in 2009.
Quote:
"One lesson is clear: If you want to make serious cake, start a business. Of the 400 titans on our list, 274 are self-made--up from 270 last year. Six of the top 10 spots on the Forbes 400 belong to entrepreneurs (as opposed to those born into wealth)."

It may just be me, but it seems that engineering a car requires a bit more skill set than engineering a hamburger.
So here's an idea, instead of trying to make low quality jobs became quality jobs, why not encourage actual quality jobs that benefit society, rather than skill-less jobs that make everyone fat?
This actually made me laugh a little. Logically thinking you are correct but we seem to hire a steady influx of engineers that have a hard time doing either. Yeah the H1-b thing is really working out great for us...
You want to know how to succeed? Its all BS to get to the point that you can learn, and make a network with people through more BS. Seriously. BS your way into a better job, and learn how to do it as quickly as possible. Then do the same until you're tired of learning new things and settle in.
You don't need a high school diploma, you don't need anything other then the ability to BS, and to learn things quickly.
Don't settle for the 9-5 minimum wage thing.
A college degree will help make up for lack of ability, and for a inability to BS, but it only gets you so far.
So let me get this straight, if everybody stops studying and stops going to school, they will become billionaires? How does that work exactly? And why is it that the majority of people who have no college education make much less money than those who went to college?
Is that really what you were able to summarize from the OP's comment?

Actually there are quite a few billionaires who basically inherited everything. There are other billionaires who basically started out with a sizable company from inheritance and built it to the billion mark. Either way the most sure fire way to become a billionaire is to come out of a $1,000,000+ vagina.
