Cut down a live tree. Don't buy a fake one.

I hate fake christmas trees. Even though we go to Mexico for Christmas, we still buy one. Why? They smell nice, they make the house look nicer and because its just fun to look at. I would now like to say Noble firs look the best and are the easiest to put on ornaments because of their stiff branches.

Even better harvest a Christmas tree with the roots still on and re-use every year ! In essence you will grow with the tree. You can even curb its growth if you learn a bit about gardening and ensure it does not need a palace ceiling's height in a few years time. It's becoming more popular over here.

My fake one is probably easier to decorate I can bend the branches to hold an ornament - so that it doesn't fall off.

I'm happy with my fake tree. Made once, paid once, and it gets re-used.

It's also Made in America - so I'm supporting American jobs, too!

I'm sure none of you have compunction about eating spinach.

Back in the day, it used to be a "tradition" for dad and the kids to go out and get the tree, whether from a tree farm or chop it down ourselves. The good ole days....
