What is Conservative about the TSA?
Are we stuck on party politics? Fundamentals do not stay on party lines.

There is nothing Progressive about maintaining individual liberties & freedoms.

There is nothing Conservative about restricting or taking individual liberties & freedoms.

The difference is more like:

Progressive: Create a framework of federal laws and regulations to control every aspect of the day-to-day lives of the masses. A system where personal rights and freedoms, that will or will not be allowed the individual, are dictated by federal bureaucrats, putting them in charge of deciding which lifestyle choices and products and services are to be permitted to the masses.

Conservative: Create a framework of federal laws and regulations to protect the individual rights and freedoms of the people, so they can make their own decisions on what "perusing happiness" means to them.

In short; progressives believe the people work for an omnipotent government, and conservatives believe the people are sovereign and government works for the people, at their consent.

That is why conservatives are trying to:

repeal health care reform
curtail voting rights for minorities
stop gays from obtaining the right to marry
cut back on social social security which has reduced the amount of elderly in poverty
shatter unions that protect worker rights and brought us the 5 day work week
repeal the minimum wage
cut funding to public education all over the country (gives low income children a fighting chance)
cut / stifle public transportation upgrades

I can go on and on.

Conservatives want to return us to the most primitive decades of American society, all while selling the illusion of personal freedom. Excuse me for not falling for any of it.
Just because something is "built" does not mean it is beneficial to society.

Oh and you quip about cutting funding to education- see what your "progressive" hero in NYC is doing.

Generalizing and putting people in boxes with terms like progressive and conservative...And assuming that you know EVERYTHING about said person just because of a label is trite.

Not much original political thought in American politics anymore. Just "they're bad, and we're good."
Cable "news" stations make alot of money off of this pathetic tactic.
And Politicians gain alot of power with it.

It's the old method of divide and conquer, and in the meantime they pillage, and further erode the middle class essentially driving this country into the ground. To the powers that be, it's working like a charm.

Race warfare? It was mostly conservatives who wanted to keep slavery and enacted Jim Crow laws......

The two major parties are similar and are both working for the same team. They just happen to be wearing different uniforms. True conservatives and progressives on the other hand are two very different things and of those two groups, it is the Progressives who are threatening people's liberty and freedoms.
Nailed it...once again.

Lets be honest, No one is going to change anyone's mind on this forum. so lets skip the arguing over what Progressive is and lets talk about what you just defined as Conservative in the bold.

The bold implies that if you cant 100% fix something, then the law shouldnt exist at all. Lets take that to the logical extension of gun laws, Are yous saying we shouldnt have background checks because people are going to slip through the cracks regardless ?

Seriously? Are we talking about the same people who want to decide who's allowed to marry, what methods of birth control are legal, that women who have been raped must carry the baby to full term, that mythology should be taught rather than science? Same ones?

Conservatives want government so small it can fit into your bedroom and womb.
