It is testing their foreign policy stance, and they have failed the test miserably.
Unless WW3 starts I do not think it will resonate as a reason to vote for or vote against the GOP in 2014 , If WW3 does start the I think it would be a reason to vote republican
No Ukraine is not at test for tea party or gob candidates other issues are the test
You asked is it a test for 2014 and 2016 I do not believe it will resonate with the voters. I think it might be discussed but do not think it will matter to voters. Unless WW3 has started by then
It is a test on whether or not they stay true to their selling points, and they are not passing the test.
Principles are worthless unless you are willing to stand by them.
Rand Paul, never one to lose the opportunity to kowtow to the isolationist fringe and racist fringe elements that fueled his father’s presidential bids....
I should take a story that starts out like this seriously?

The quotes in the article are his own words, and and it is up to you to take them seriously or not. To be honest I find it increasingly difficult to take him seriously myself. I think he will be a heavy hitter one day, but he needs time to mature in politics. Give him 12-20 years, and he'll be a serious politician.
Well it is not likely to be a much of a issue between democrats and republican since they essentially agree of Ukraine. Really libertarians in US are pretty isolated among the western world leadership opinions even.

From Crimea to Damascus and from Libya to Afghanistan, Western interests and human rights have been set back because Obama did not do his homework, did not study history, did not look at his own mistakes. He was so arrogant when Romney said pay attention to Russia.
Much of the sad state of the world today is tied to a leader who spoke of "hope and change," trying to seem tall and prophetic but, ultimately, looking small and pathetic.

I am a long time Ron Paul supporter, but I am not a Rand Paul supporter. Maybe I'll support him one day, but he has a long way to go to reach the political maturity of his father. Ron Paul was not an flip-flopper, so Rand must have picked up that unfortunate quality from somewhere else.
Hilarious how much "Conservatives" bash Obama for being actually conservative when it comes to foreign affairs.
You can't make it up folks.
