And this is why republicans won't pass anything because Democrats "promise" to close the border" after. Anyone with a brain knows that they are lying. This is just more proof.
It isn't just minorities that own land along the border but even if it were true why turn this into a racist thing? What difference does it make what race or ethnic group a land owner is? Seems like someone just wanted to play the victim/race card for minorities with this story.
By cutting off the source of cheap labor it would discriminate against the citizens that cannot afford to have their gardens pruned or corporate farms harvested by American citizens. In my observation Mexican, and other immigrants, have done more good for the country than harm.
Absolutely, that's why every State, especially border States, are jockeying to keep them locally.........oh wait....
Why are people talking as if there isn't already a border fence.
I live less than 20 miles from the border...that things sure looks like a fence to me.
I live even closer than that -- the fence is only in some parts of the border -- illegals are having no trouble at all making it over -- they cut holes in it or simply cross illegally where the fence ends.
And a very large number of illegals simply obtain cheap legal border crossing cards -- aka laser visas and then don't return. Those are now called "visa overstays". Very very easy to cross with the laser visa and then go whereever they like and never return home.

Obama himself today admitted it's all just a lie. He told the illegals that no illegals are actually being deported, what they're counting as deportation are just those who are turned away at the border, if they make it over, they're not deported. Obama's own words:
Well, the main step I’m trying to take is to make sure that we pass new laws so that we do not have to deport these folks at all. But in fact they can have a path to living here legally, and ultimately becoming citizens. You know, keep in mind that most of these deportations are actually at the border. So it’s people who are just being stopped.
A barbed wire cattle fence is useless and that is mostly what we have on our southern border. Congress should have funded the double layered wall that was passed awhile back but they didn't. Anyone else smell a rat?
