Apparently, neither are you?

There is no constitutional guarantee of the right to vote.

Qualifications to vote in House and Senate elections are decided by each state, and the Supreme Court affirmed in Bush v. Gore that “the individual citizen has no federal constitutional right to vote for electors for the President of the United States.”

Our Constitution only provides for nondiscrimination in voting on the basis of race, sex, and age in the 15th, 19th and 26th Amendments respectively.

At one time, if you weren't a land owner .. you didn't vote.

If you have no skin in the game, live off of any part of the government (taxpayers) dole .. you should not vote.

Unlike the majority of Democrats, I have read and know what the Constitution has to say on the matter.

IF you are able to read and comprehend what you are reading .. here is a link to the aforementioned 15th, 19th and 26th Amendments:

If you are not able to read or comprehend .. go ask your mother to help!

Any other words of great wisdom?

Reread the title of this thread. This thread is about more votes for the wealthy. What does your post here have to do with that? Where does the constitution call for more votes for certain individuals? Perhaps you could ask your mother for help reading.

It means just what it said.

It's plain English, come on.

The fact is (since it must be explained to you) is that regardless of the technical legality of the right to vote by all citizens over the age of 18, they enjoy that right through habit and practice and you may attempt to take that away at your own risk.

In other words, it's a pointless argument, the people can vote and that's how it shall remain, regardless of whether people like you think that's how it should be.

I read through all nine pages and came across an all too common trend here. The more conservative minded folks post well thought out, informative posts, with facts and their point. The liberals come back with usually a single sentence, bumper sticker style meaningless, (just trying to get you going) responses. Hmmmmm. Could this yield a clue as to why every liberal agenda is failing in this country and the only way they can even contemplate keeping that agenda going is to implode the country with handouts?

Reread your own post.

I was responding .. to your post.

Telling someone that they are ignorant on constitutional matters when it is you stating that The Constitution gives us the Right to vote is an example of the pot and kettle!

(actually, the kettle was correct in his post .. you weren't)

Your point is that you believe the wealthy should be given more votes?

I didn't see anything in the constitution affording more votes for the wealthy.
