Honestly, just because someone unfriends a person on Facebook because of political postings does not mean that they are unable to handle opposing viewpoints. It could just be that they are embarrassed about the way the viewpoints are expressed or just don't really want a bunch of political postings on their Facebook page. I wouldn't like that either if I went on Facebook regularly.

So, you've got a thin skin like the liberals who defriended me.

Guess what? If you don't want people to comment on your political propaganda, stop posting it.

[That's not "you" in particular, but the universal "you."]

Default Have you experienced a fractured relationship or friendship due to fanatical political viewpoints?

I normally don't politics too much with friends but there was an occasion where a co-worker pushed itand I did lose some respect for him but that's about all.

I would say calling a family member a ******* is you looking for a fight, not them. You obviously resort to name calling because they disagree with you. My family is democratic, republican and independents and I respect each and every one of them and their differences. It would never occur to me to call them derogatory names. You are not right, your family is not right. It's just what each of you believe in.

IMHO it seems like most, not all, Ameritards cannot or will not really think for themselves. So, someone on the right or left.....probably is just spewing some brainwashing that they absorbed somewhere....without really thinking about what they really believe in and why.

A perfect example would be gay marriage. All of the sudden, groups that were very, very opposed to it......are now on board. I believe that this is MAINLY a result of many sources pushing an agenda of propaganda......and sadly many bought it hook, line and STINKER.

Honestly...

Does anyone here think that they're going to change someone's mind if you call them an idiot, a *******, or Republi****? Honestly, have you realized that when you start attacking someone, they immediately go on the defensive and either fight back or walk away? Is that person you attacked ever going to see things your way?

No. I rarely discuss politics and/or religion among family and friends, unless I am sure they think the same as I do.
It just saves a lot of hassle and hard feelings.
I'm too old to put up with that foolishness!
