I would rather see gender neutral than allowing men or boys to use the girls bathroom and visa versa. Have 3 choices: ladies, gents and yes, gender neutral. I don't think the risk of being beat up has anything to do with this. I think it is more a matter of respect. As a female I really do not want some guy, dressed in girls clothes using a women's bathroom and I am sure many men feel the same way...We have to accept the desires of many, not just one group. You make it sound like we need this to protect the cross dresser or transvestite? What about the majority of us, who are neither. Shouldn't our rights and privacy being respected as well?
Yes, these things should also obviously be respected, which is why I am offering gender-neutral public bathrooms for cross-dressers to use instead of having them use the bathrooms of the opposite sex/gender.
As for me, Yes, because I think that cross-dressers and other gender non-conformists should be able to have some place where they can go to the bathroom without the risk of being beat up and/or harassed.
And Yes, this is genuinely a serious question.
here is the thing they will have to have private stalls for each bathroom/washroom then
I am all for that.
1 person per bathroom then.
there. also girls stop complaining about leaving the toilet seat up.
and guys stop spraying it everywhere learn to aim, then we can all be happy.

I need more information.
do you mean
A restroom with a toilet, sink and a door where only 1 person is in the RR at a time?
or do you mean like we generally see where the mens room has 5 urinals and 4 stalls and the womens has like 7 stalls? and instread of them being gender specific, we just change these to being nutral where anyone can go into either?
Use the bathroom that God intended for you to use. You have a penis then you are a man and you use the men's restroom. You have a vagina then you are a woman and you use the women's restroom. You can be a man with a butchered penis, or a woman with a butchered vagina, but you'll still always be the sex you were born.
There are only two genders, I'm tired of this pseudo-liberal Marxist nonsense that people keep espousing. What about people who think their animals? Should society build a separate bathroom for a man who thinks that he is a cat? Or should society just allow him to go the bathroom wherever he wants, since you know, it would be discrimination to not allow him to be what he was "born to be?" They would probably think that such an individual would be mentally ill, which is exactly what transgender is.
Also, you should specify. Do you mean gender neutral public restrooms? Or just restrooms in general?
Maybe we already have plenty of them (I don't know--I didn't research this topic), but we certainly don't have them everywhere yet.
I've seen gender/sex neutral restrooms in a lot of places. Our local Starbucks has 2 restrooms, both with the double sex signs. They are single toilet restrooms. The malls have a locking single room.
Personally I like it - it does solve the problem for transgendered but it also solves the problem for the Dad that needs to take his 3 year old daughter to the restroom. My son (single Dad with 3 kids) had a real problem when he was out with the kids at age 3 (boy), 4 & 6 (girls) and even one of them had to go to the restroom. He didn't want to leave the girls alone and he wasn't crazy about taking the girls into the men's room. Unisex single restrooms (also labeled Family Restrooms in our area) were a perfect solution.
