With so many people under and unemployed in America Should we limit legal immigration to 250,000 a year?

Here are a few vids to back up this idea.

It is hurting the american worker by suppressing wages, and it will over populate this nation causing a massive ecological impact and causing our standards of living to fall lower and lower year by year..

PS to all the leftist, dont pull the whole "you hate immigrants" card it is not feelings it about facts..

What are you takes?

We need to base it on need of certain professions ;not a number.

Yes, for now, until real unemployment goes down to an acceptable level. Those selected to be legal immigrants should contribute more than they take and more than the average American. They should be highly-educated and/or highly-skilled with good jobs lined up.

I think we should limit legal immigration annually by our ability to provide jobs and resources to them without it negatively impacting our own citizens while keeping in mind our population growth and diversity. The number should be based on that rather than a set number. IMO, immigration shouldn't be based simply on family ties but based on the above.

250k is a reasonable number, but I'd prefer a moratorium on immigration. People have a twisted idea that the spigot of immigration has been turned on non-stop since the country was founded. The truth is that we've had immigration in waves. Before 1965, immigration was very low. We need to let the immigrants that are here now assimilate and coalesce into a new American identity. As it stands now, America has become fractured culturally. I think that feeling is palpable to most everyone nowadays.

And if we are going to have immigrants, it should be highly skilled immigrants only.

no. jobs are open because americans are not capable of doing them or they dont want them, not because illegals want them.

i referenced a 95-97 percent white town i drive past on the way to work with an above average unemployment rate in the immigration thread. whites will not work jobs that they think are below them. the job offered 10 an hour, which ive heard is not bad for that line of work. go to that field, you will not find a white person there.

this bs about jobs is just that, bs. the illegals do the jobs that whites are embarrassed to do or think they are above, and are comfortable with welfare and unemployment from what ive seen.

highly skilled jobs, we just dont have the talent to fill the openings.

Cut OFF the benefits and anglo white' "Hispanic" AND Black people be working in the fields. Too; many employers would be mad because they CAN'T overwork and cheat Americans like illegal aliens.

Too; MOST illegal aliens DON'T work the farms, like less than 1 in 20.

This. We need to severely curtail immigration until we get our unemployment numbers much lower. We do not need more people here.
