There was a massive discussion on GMO's over in the Green Living forum where the ludicrous claims of the anti-GM crowd were soundly discredited and proven wrong:

You slug the stuff down if you want. I just find it very funny the very libs who despise big corps are mostly the ones defending the huge corp Monanto. Not you of course unless you do I don't know. I live in corn country and Monsanto are not nice folks. And I still can't find a grasshopper when I run out of worms when fishing like the old days. May not be their fault I have no evidence. I gotta blame somebody though. I also hate Vilsak. We had a go around back in the day.

Exactly right! There's lot more grant money in being Pro Global Warming, and Pro GMO. If a scientist gains a conscience and questions either, they tend to be ostracized.

Scientists are the best example of the herd mentality. They rely on peer reviews, by peers who are just as corrupt. That's like Holder investigating himself. Peer Review = We've decided we are right

The politics forum is far from the correct place to make a rational case for or against GMOs.

Dang it all, you beat me to it. MAN, I hate being late to the party. I was going to write something similar.

The anti-GMO crowd needs to learn a little bit more about science. It's amazing how people will cherry pick science to suit their agenda.

I've only been alive 66 years eating some type of GM additive/grown crop, still have had no ill effects and if you bother to go peruse the link I posted earlier you will find there isn't one shred of accredited peer-reviewed data that confirms the anti-GM position.

In fact when you are perusing that thread you will find posts (by me) showing there have been more deaths attributed to organic crops than GM crops.

Please discuss with scientific facts rather than from a phobic anti-GM position will ya?

Oh, and BTW, Monsanto is not the only corporation that researches/sells GM items.

Your post confirms your position is based on the hysterical phobic rantings from anti-GM blogs....

I'll bet you believe the French research study on GM maize causing cancer in rats was completely without bias...

You anti-GM people are hysterical...
