(CNN) Chelsea Clinton announced Thursday that she is expecting her first child.

Chelsea Clinton announces she’s pregnant with first child – CNN Political Ticker - CNN.com Blogs

I'm genuinely happy for her and all the Clintons. One would think Hillary would want to take life easy and enjoy retirement and grandmother stuff.

They'll drag that poor kid out for a photo-op every time you turn around.

I doubt it, Chelsea has been pretty good at keeping her personal life private for the most part.

I don't think so. They didn't do it with Chelsea when Bill was President. That's more of a
Republican thing, e.g. Palins.

Being a Grandparent is part of life if you have children and they have children - no biggie,
except if you are a politician - who thinks they invented the family....

Hillary isn't Bill. Her tactics and world view are totally different.

Nonsense. It does feed in to women and ageism, or haven't you noticed how quickly a MSM newsroom will dump their aging star for the next chipper young thing? How many aging female movie stars are there? Pushing a war on women is retarded.

Good for Chelsea, and the only person who will say if this effects Hillary running for president will be Hillary.

Actually drudge did when he became a grandpa

You poor folks with NOTHING will pick at anything. It's a picture of Hillary. It's not Matt Drudge's fault she's unattractive. It's just a common picture, not photoshopped, not glamorized, just an ordinary image.

And that's your war on women?

Oh, my! You're more desperate than I thought.

Yes, happy days ahead for Chelsea and her husband. Having a first child is so very exciting and being a grandma for the first time is as well. As for your comment, hate to tell you this, but regardless of how you feel about women versus men, there is a huge difference and there is a difference between being a grandma the first time or a grandpa.

Will this affect her running? Probably not, nor should it, but she could very well use this as a reason for not running. It would get her off the hook. She has already said, she is enjoying her private life, walking the dogs, etc. This could be the icing on the cake: time will tell!!! I will add, I don't see Hillary as the grandmotherly type, but I could be wrong.

OMG where were you? Of course they did, the same as they did with Amy!!! And yes, Sarah Palin. It was the media as much as the families.
