There is nothing that says that that they can't either. They CHOOSE not to be part of those organizations. I think if you would do some basic research you would have known that Miss Black America was formed because they were not ALLOWED in the Miss USA or Miss Universe (representing the USA) Pagents so they formed their own.

Which bring to mind, why in the hell would a conservative want to join a Democratic club in the first place

So according to you, institution that initally denied blacks from joining and grew to be reputable and strong should now be disbanded because you feel that they are not needed now? For the record, how old is the Miss America Pageant? Neva mind let me help you:

Margaret Gorman was the first Miss America Pageant winner in 1921.

1921[edit]

The Miss America pageant was first held in September 1921 in Atlantic City. It continued until 1927, when it was suspended until 1933. It began as part of a marketing plan by the Businessmen's League of Atlantic City to keep tourists on the boardwalk after Labor Day. It organized a Fall Frolic, which was held on September 25, 1920. The most popular event that day (overseen by Ernestine Cremona, in a flowing white robe) was a parade of young women pushed along the boardwalk in rolling chairs, and its success inspired a similar event the following year. At the same time, to increase circulation East Coast newspapers had begun sponsoring beauty pageants in which submitted photographs were judged. The Businessmen's League decided to capitalize on the idea, inviting winners of local newspaper beauty contests to the next Fall Frolic for an inter-city beauty contest. The contest would be judged on two levels: popularity and beauty. The winner of the beauty contest, the Most Beautiful Bathing Girl in America, would be awarded the title of Golden Mermaid. On September 8, 1921 100,000 people came to the boardwalk to watch the contestants, a turnout much greater than expected. A panel of artists serving as judges named 16-year-old Margaret Gorman of Washington, D.C. the winner of both contests, awarding her $100. When Gorman returned in 1922 to defend her title, she was draped in the American flag and called Miss America.[10]

It was not until 1970 when the first black woman was ALLOWED to compete (Miss Iowa) and another 10 years for one to win it (Vanessa Williams) and she was dethroned because of some old Penthouse pictures. To be quite honest does Vanessa look anywhere like the average Afram in this country? She looks almost white.

This is 2014; NOT 1964! Hell; our POTUS calls himself "Black" and he's the Top Dog in what was an "anglo white" club in 1954.

OTOH: how about a "white" person born and raised in Africa for Miss Black America? She's MORE "African" than most American Black ladies.

Despite your rant, you still did not answer my question.

As far as using Obama as an example, his election means absolutely nothing more but to manipulate part of the country into believing that this is a post racial society

Not sure why any people of African origin care to join such organizations that consist of drunkeness and ignorance anyway. Associating with such people nothing positive.

The dominant groups in the US are "anglo white": WHEN those groups open their doors to who are called "people of color"; the groups that used to stand up for the people of color have the rep of dying out real fast.

Word is acceptance by the Big Dogs kills off "racial solidarity" by the "outcasts" because they're invited to JOIN the Big Dogs as equals.
