Did you think the government couldn't come up with any more irresponsible, stupid ways to spend your hard earned money? Silly boys and girls, you underestimate our federal employees. The latest debacle? Nearly 3/4 of a million dollars to fund a little play. A play to propagandize Climate Change. Hey, when science doesn't support your position, lets get promote it on Broadway!

The Civilians Receive $700,000 Grant from National Science Foundation#

Quote:

The
Civilians ....has been awarded a three-year grant in the amount of $700,000 from the National
Science Foundation (NSF) for THE GREAT IMMENSITY, a new production about climate
change, it has been announced by Steve Cosson, founding Artistic Director of The Civilians.

...tells the story of Polly, a photojournalist, who disappears
while working in the rainforests of Barro Colorado Island in the Panama Canal.
Phyllis, Polly's twin, embarks on an international search for her sister...
So...what happened to the National Science Foundation funding things like, oh, I don't know...maybe science? Research? Useful technologies? Shouldn't the National Endowment of the Arts be used for funding theater? (OK, as if federal dollars should fund ANY entertainment activity).

If the NSF has the excess money to fund this kind of "art"...maybe they need a budget cut. Along with some new management.

Oh good there is a polar bear attack. It would have been better if the sisters rescued the polar bear from drowning LMAO and then he ate them both. And what does a pimp have to do with climate change? shoot he would have his woman on the ho stroll no matter what the weather conditions were. I say they cast Samuel Lee Jackson as the pimp.

On the serious side the gvt should not give one red cent with all the supposedly concerned people on climate change. Let them donate their own money and make a play.
