A true altruist!

You must be a lib, as you demand special attention, but would ignore others. I am a physician. I have conducted four "codes" outside of the hospital. One is obligated, as a human, to render aid when one is capable. However, perhaps compelling you to act like a human being is too much to ask.

So...did you have a point???

they shouldn't be punished.
My wife's dental insurance united concordia, through the teachers union in philly is no longer being excepted by my dentist because they are giving the dentist a hard time with payment.
So we got the letter in the mail recently saying they are no longer excepting them as insurance.
I don't blame them.

Before we punish a doctor for not accepting exchange based insurance, let's punish the following:
  • Stores that don't accept 3rd party checks as payment
  • Stores that don't accept IOUs as payment
  • Stores that don't accept being paid in pennies and nickels as payment
  • Stores that don't accept the Burmese pyat as payment
  • Stores that don't accept Discover, but do accept VISA and Mastercard.
When you get done punishing all of them, then you'll be logically consistent in punishing doctors for not accepting a form of insurance that they feel will be more trouble than it is worth.

Actually we had a medical ethnics conference. If you are truly "coding" outside the hospital. We all know minutes counts. The oldest MD (he's 78 years old with multiple medical problems already) said he already instructed his wife if EMS doesn't arrive within 10 minutes to NOT to revive him. Because risk of permanent neurological damage becomes much greater.

No one wants to be kept alive like Ariel Sharon for years in a veggie state.

Nobody has probably used their Obamacare insurance yet because of the sky high deductibles.

My wife and I just did the other day. We don't have sky high deductibles anymore.

Invest in healthcare companies for the next couple of years. The ACA is a cash cow for them. Hardly any cost control. More customers. Yet they will cook the books (especially the insurers) to stay within the ACA guidelines of expenses.
