I guess all of the amendments that have been made to the original Constitution was gutting it then? Nowhere in the Constitution does it say that children of illegal aliens are granted birthright citizenship anyway so just what is being gutted? It is the interpretation of the Constitution that has been distorted.
What has birthright citizenship have to do with hating Hispanics? Hispanics aren't the only ones here illegally.
Is it really though? Arab migrants to Mexico and Latin America had nothing to do with colonialism and yet they are in the upper echelons of Latin Anerican society (Carlo Slim, Hayek etc.) a similar story plays out for East Asian migrants to Brazil and Peru.
Agreed tho many Arabs and Asians ARE "Mexican" brown in skin color so it's something else going on.
Secure the border
End birthright citizenship
Mandate Everify
Their is not point in improving a system which is a increasing influx of poverty if said influx is not eliminated..

Try again there please.
There's NOTHING wrong with that gunlover posted. God knows that Mexico AND Spain don't play well with illegal aliens and MOST rich countries DON'T have any kind of birthright unless 1 parent is a citizen. E verify is just being smart.
I was not expecting a thread about illegal immigration, but instead a thread about the academic challenges of Hispanics when they are becoming the majority of America and it's impact on our prosperity.
To have a honest discussion, we have to factor in Hispanic illegals. Americans of Hispanic descent are doing as well as the next guy, they melted in a long time ago. Second generation are a mixed bag, but many do well. Thirdly, the newer wave of anchor babies are the ones that seem to have issues. I would say the challenge is more cultural than academic. The vast majority of them don't graduate. They can do the work, but they quit. How do you change that?

You cant, it is cultural, you must over ride their culture, and secure the border/end bright citizenship.
