An admittedly token gesture, but it warms my heart to see americans getting fed up with the omnipresent fedguv

Drones could join coyotes as prey on the dun-colored prairie if voters in Deer Trail, Colorado, population 563, approve a measure today allowing the town to issue hunting licenses for unmanned aerial vehicles.

Uhhh, there are many more organizations and people flying UAV's than the federal government.

Why don't you tell us how you really feel about the federal government?

Default Colorado Town Considers Letting Residents Shoot at Drones

Although it sounds like fun I don't think I would want to be the first person to test it out.

Can my drone be allowed to shoot back?

Drones are used for a lot of things. And the federal government is not the sole owner of them. I have some.

No your drone should not be able to shoot back if within my airspace, you would be tresspassing. But you're correct, this more about private property rights and not just the abuse of them by the fedguv.

“That plan is a taking of property rights, a taking of civil rights,” said Phillip Steel, who wears a black duster coat and a cowboy hat. “According to a 1964 Supreme Court decision, a property owner owns airspace up to 1,000 feet above the ground.”

Good, there is bill in PA that will ban them from interfering with hunters. Hopefully they will extend it to private property 356/24/7.

If your drone is intruding on my privacy - then it is fair game. If it isn't - have fun.

Nah, I'm mainly using it to get some nice pictures of natural things (no not people), and for just flying around. I want to get a better drone so I can carry more cameras to do 3D photography with, but not enough spare time at the moment.

work work.

So you should be safe as none of that should be on private property where you haven't received permission
