It has been proven that she is not lying.

Has the Democratic Party become so shallow, so morally bankrupt, so hungry for power that it can so easily and so venomously dismiss the concerns expressed by Americans.

More thorough?

Because "I don't know, but I'm betting on the worst," is more thorough. Plus, I'm employed to bet on the worst and to tell everyone that the worst is going to happen.

Oh thank you word police. While you are policing look, at the word "citzen" in the letter lol. Now back to the thread Topic.

Reid Lies - Single cancer patient receiving death wishes from liberals

"I'm tired of seeing your dying ass on T.V. You should be ashamed of yourself! Hope cancer kills you soon! Signed a concerned and pi*ssed off "citzen" of the U.S.A."

I don't think that Democrats should dismiss any concerns expressed by Americans. But I also think that we need to acknowledge that the Koch Brothers, using the AFP, are engaged in a vendetta, and that they don't hesitate to spread misinformation and outright lies in their campaign against the ACA. I deal with this every day, living in a conservative stronghold. Actually linking to the facts can persuade some people, but the sheer volume of misinformation is frustrating to say the least.

Word police? WTH are you talking about?

I'm pointing out that the author of that blog has a financial interest in slamming the ACA, he's not an objective journalist.

Can you imagine the outrage if a Republican made such a statement about people dying? The media play the poor families would get?
Her plan denied her script for Loratadine, a prescription strength decongestant. Given her diagnosis, nasal congestion is the least of her challenges.

This follow up blog written by a paid shrill of the Teaparty, seems to side step some obvious questions.

Why did she choose a plan with a different insurer?

Why did she choose a plan that cost less than her former plan?

What was the cap of annual out of pocket expenses associated with her former plan?

Has her medical situation changed in the past year to a point where it may not make sense to subject herself to frequent biopsies, regardless of the huge cost associated with this procedure ?

And perhaps most importantly, given her diagnosis, what was the lifetime cap of her former plan?

I am sorry for the choices she made that made a tough situation even more challenging. I wish she had had the benefit of an advocate who could have objectively assessed her situation and options. Having to start all over has got to be terribly frustrating. We can all feel her pain.

The first time I posted the image of the letter the image was removed from my post on cd. It is not copyrighted so I am not sure why it was removed. If it is removed again, it is also on twitter (with link). Happy to make you laugh.

Multitudes of people have been screwed by their insurance companies over the years.

Unfortunately, that won't change with the ACA, although hopefully the sideboards imposed on the ins companies will help. Single payer would have been a better option, IMO. But that would never have gotten through Congress.

Edited to add: I for one hope that Julie is successful in getting what she needs. We all deserve better from both our government *and* our fellow citizens.
