What the left fails to see is that the Democratic party is only a stopover place for Latinos, Asians & Muslims. They all share far more in common with the GOP & will be trending that way over the next 20 years as they graduate into 2nd-3rd generations of Americans. Texas is a good example. The Latinos are religious, Catholics even. Why would they support Progressive ideology which openly mocks their religion? Latinos are pro-life. Latinos generally don't support homosexuality, certainly not as being equal. Latinos generally look to integrate into mainstream culture & live the American dream. If it wasn't for immigration the D's would literally have no appeal at all. Now that the GOP is trending that way, it should be a long, hard slap in the face for the Democratic party who very much feel like they own the Latinos.

I live in California, a supposedly hardcore "blue state" on the surface, but yet if you break it down by county you would be very surprised! There are several counties here that are VERY conservative! Like a totally different planet than you would expect.
I would argue that California is much more conservative than other states like Washington and Colorado. Voted for GMOs, voted down same-sex marriage, voted down legalized marijuana, etc.

Yep, you'd be surprised at the amount of minorities who are conservative, and not politically. But I wonder if the left sees them as bigots since they preach tolerance.

I've talked here Latino religiosity is just farce, many Latinos are assumed to be religious, just because being without religion is not accepted socially, most no go in sermons nor in the mass, or worse, practice witchcraft and vodoo

Research indicates that Latinos of second and third generation show little difference from their parents, continue with the same thoughts.

Another thing Latinos dislike of formality, they prefer informal businesses, for this reason Latin America is a mess, they do not care with urban zoning, direction of traffic laws, laws of nighttime silence, young people like to turn the night at parties, they dont like the school, do not obey their parents and the index of teen pregnancy, prostitution and drug use, and greater than that of young Americans.

I live in latin america 1 year ago, but there are exceptions not all Latinos are the way I write, but most Latinos are this way, so do not believe everything you read is necessary to know the truth, this utopia that Latinos are conservative and that at some point will Republicans voting is bull****, contrary to what you think , they no vote in Republican even in Texas, and the new generation and even more Democratic than the first.
You do have Brazil though that has shifted away from the "informal" way of conducting business and has been accepted in the global workplace.

I have had some first hand experience dealing with Latin American country's "informal" way of doing business.
Deadlines have a different meaning to them. A number of projects got delayed due to waiting on their software translations for several projects I worked on over my career.

I would guess that they aren't mostly immigrants but illegal aliens. Neither group can vote or at least they aren't supposed to.

This is a big reason why Obama and the Democratic party want to give citizenship and amnesty to all of the illegal aliens living in the US. More Democratic voters assuring that a Republican with traditional conservative values never gets elected to office again. Goodbye USA. Hello UASR (Union of American Socialist Republics).

Mexico has legal abortion and homosexual marriages -- and the churches in Texas are far from filled. Latinos consistently vote for pro-abortion politicians.

The problem with latinos -- the huge growth in numbers are from the indigent very government dependent types from south of the border. Virtually all illegals use Medicaid and food stamps for their children.

The Conservative latinos are either those who came legally on work visas or are from the USA -- often their roots go way back. The newcomers aren't conservative in the least.

The mistake is to believe that latinos are a monolith -- yes there are hard working self-reliant pro-Constitution latinos -- Ted Cruz is an obvious example but those are not the ones pouring over the border by the many millions coming to cash in on welfare handouts and that have zero respect for the laws of this country.

That is the mistake many are making..lumping them all into a single group with shared ideas.
