This is appalling of what these school children in public schools are having on their lunch plates compared to what Obama's daughters are getting at their school. As you will notice, there are some upset people in the comments section and I don't blame them.
Well then tell the people not happy with regular school lunches to send their children to a private school, just as the Obama's do. You are comparing apples and stones - not even apples and oranges.
Please explain how Michelle Obama controls school lunches.
Exactly; she doesn't.
I've seen the school lunch menus published by my local school district and they read more like the Sidwell Friends menu than what's on those trays as pictured. One parent in my neighborhood is often incensed by her daughter's school lunch choices and posts photos taken by her daughter of her school lunch. There is always far more food on the tray than what is in those pictures and it looks much more appetizing. It's not always the healthiest food, but there's definitely more of it than what's in those pictures.

Tuition at Sidwell is in the $35,000 a year range and includes lunch.
I think the number of kids in public school who qualify for no or reduced cost lunch is about 25 million.
Many schools now also provide breakfast and early dinner because for whatever reason, many parents are not providing for their own kids.

Do you think if Bush's daughters had still been school-age when he became President, they would have gone to DC public schools? That'd be a big fat NO, good buddy. And I wouldn't have blamed them for it either.
FYI:
The Bush twins graduated from high school in 2000 and were students at UT-Austin and Yale when Bush was elected, so the question of where they might attend school in DC was never asked. The Bushes sent their daughters to Preston Hollow Elementary School, a public school in Dallas, then to The Hockaday School (a private school with an eye-popping tuition bill). When he became governor they attended St Andrew's in Austin (a private Christian school), then Austin High School (a public school). I'm not criticizing the choices the Bushes made for their daughters. They did what they thought was right by them, I'm sure. I'm just pointing out that the Obamas are faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar from being the only politicians to use private schools.
