I am just curious. For those that don't want a min wage hike or even a min wage law period. Do you think its OK for 6 walton's ya know the ones that own Wal Mart to be worth more than the lower 40% of Americans? Their workers need food stamps and medicaid to get by yet they are raking in cash and living the high life from something their grandfather/father did.
The answer to that is the estate tax, ultimately.
I'm undecided on minimum wage, because there are legitimate dangers associated with it. But regardless of that, we really do need a substantial "death tax" to keep the wealth from accumulating in a smaller and smaller number of hands.
Oh and we aren't at war as congress has NEVER declared an declaration of war against Al Qaeda,Afghanistan,Yemen where the attacks happened OR Iraq. So again the judge fails simple comprehension.
I totally agree Boxcar. It really wouldn't kill them to raise their wages a little bit. They won't do it as foodstamps keeps Wal Mart relevant. Because of their cheap crap people with food stamps shop there.
Yep, if Walmart has to give their workers two dollars more so that they don't have to go on food stamps to get enough food to survive, they will report a full .0038 less on their next quarter's EPS, and their CEO will only get only $22,389,279 in quarterly bonuses instead of $24,873,947. The unspeakable horror.
Conservatives are happiest when workers are paid in floggings and the rich overlords are worshipped and carried around in the air by a team of slaves, like back in the Good Old Days (aka the medieval times).
Dang...that website just put that article up! Idiots...my fault for not looking at the date..oh well..still my point stands.
