As usual from her, it is full of eloquence, wisdom, and practical perspective.

This is what was barred by Brandeis U on the basis of 'Islamophobia?' Liberal war on women, much?
Suppose that she would never have gotten a speaking slot in the first place. I would have to change my headline, but the point remains that libs decided to squelch Ayaan Hirsi Ali from their festivities, based on political correctness.

Someone screwed up in the vetting process. She never should have been invited. As discussed in Brandeis' statement, no one negated the respect she deserves for the work she has done for women in the Muslim world. However, had she replaced "Judaism" for "Islam" in "Islam is a nihlistic culture of death," most of us would have cause for pause. Why do we hold a double standard when it comes to talking about Islam where we can trash it as a whole but not any other religions? Ali makes no distinction between radical and moderate Islams. That is her choice, but not something befitting of an honorary degree recipient.
She was never going to speak - honorary degree recipients at Brandeis do not speak at commencement.
She was expected to speak. I don't recall whether it was at commencement or a special event to receive the degree, but she was going to give a speech.
She'd offend Muslims and others with her views of Islam. Maybe Brandeis grads, faculty, and administration will be better off with someone like John Stewart if he's available.

That's probably because we'd all be wondering if she really meant to say "Islam," which would make a lot more sense.
Oh, unsurprisingly, if you look at her speech, charolastra00's claim about "Islam is a nihilistic culture of death" does not appear in it. As usual, a liberal lied in order to divert outrage over the actual issue.

This is a statement she has made in the past. Nobody said it came from the speech she was supposedly going to give at Brandeis.
She has a public record of making some very strong, negative statements againstIslam.
That is why the offer of an honorary degree was revoked.
