Who said US citizens won't do low skilled jobs?

Sure they will, just rarely for Calcutta wages.

We rigged the system. We've done everything one can imagine to artificially increase the supply and lower the demand for low skilled labor. Now we wonder why their not hopping up and down to make illegal immigrant wages and we pretend their just lazy.

It's also further proof that you continue to suppress evidence....

Why do you refuse to tell people that your beloved program was tried and failed in the US?

It's academically dishonest not to tell forum members.

How you can pass yourself off as knowledge in a subject, if you don't even understand the history of it?

How many times was it tried in the US....and failed? That's right....more than once....more than twice even...

Would anyone like some perspective?

Q: What does Los Angeles County have that Switzerland does not have?

A:

Spoiler

2 Million more people.....LA County's populations is 9.9 Million while teeny-tiny-itty-bitty Switzerland has a population of 7.9 Million.

The OP is suppressing evidence, because there are a few things he doesn't want you to know....you ought to be pounding him until he comes clean.

Basically...

Mircea

Swiss consider welfare overhaul with guaranteed income - YouTube
Only liberal freaks could support this communist notion of "guaranteed income."

My question is math...

We have 314,000,000 people in the US (a guaranteed income would increase the population growth rate).

I see the $12,000 per year per person bandied about in the video. That would mean $3.768 Trillion Dollars a year.

The Federal Government currently spends $0.74 Trillion a year on welfare, which they could end. However, that still means an increase in spending of $3.028 Trillion a year. Plus, if we are honest, politicians would find ways to win more votes with new and additional handouts to the needy...especially when you can make the case that some severely disabled people need more than $12,000 a year and were getting more than $12,000 a year prior.

Current total federal spending is 3.65 Trillion a year and set to grow up to $4.7 Trillion a year by 2019 with entitlement spending growth and Obamacare, so we would be roughly doubling the spending of the federal government as we approach $18,000,000,000,000.00 in debt in under a year. We have added debt every single Fiscal Year since 1957, how would doubling spending help on this debt issue?

because some people can't work and some people won't work.

as a society we're not at the point where we're willing to let these types of people starve to death in the street.

that's not true. conservatives love fractional-reserve banking, which is a form of guaranteed income for our financial system, designed to prevent bank runs.

if certain institutions in our country are guaranteed liquidity from the fed, it is only reasonable that individuals are guaranteed something similar.

Libertarians follow the "non aggression principle" and forcing money from people so it can be redistributed to someone else doesn't square with that.
Maybe edit your title.

public debt is created when the federal reserve lends to the government

you can bypass that by having the federal reserve print these dollars and give them directly to households, which means it does not contribute to the federal deficit.

essentially, you'd use the same mechanisms that provide bank liquidity, to also provide income to individuals.

Working helps people survive a lot better than money.
