Are you not aware that "SEAL Team Six" is composed of 300 troops, and the identities of the specific members who were on the bin Laden mission are classified?

Beat me to it.
Conspiracy nuts tend to ignore facts which stand in the way of their conspiracies.

That's because US Geo-Political Strategy is to deny Russia any and all potential allies.

Hence the castration of Yugoslavia denies Russia the use of ports along the Adriatic Sea in the Mediterranean, plus the use of airbases; the regime-changes in Libya and Tunisia deny Russia the use of ports in those States on the Mediterranean; co-opting Bulgaria denies Russia the use of ports on the Black Sea and airbases; co-opting Romania denies Russia the use of ports on the Black Sea and airbases; control of Syria would deny Russia the use of ports on the Mediterranean and airbase; and control of Ukraine would deny Russia the use of ports on the Black Sea and airbases.

It also gives the US control of end-of-sale points for oil, natural gas and other resources...for example in Kosovo-Metohija....

Kosovo's PTK privatization: with a little help from old friends

The Envidity Company owned by General Clark has filed its request to the government of the self-proclaimed republic for permission to extract coal from the deposits in the western part of Kosovo, the Serbian news service B-92 reported on June 26.
Liberal Imperialists.

Anyway, all those things are preparing for the invasion of Iran and Central Asia.

Russian nuclear policy is unchanged....defense, tit-for-tat.

Russia didn't do anything similar.

$Billions of your tax-dollars have been spent in Ukraine since 1994 on pro-US groups who --- if they gained power -- well sell out the Ukranians in the same way all US-backed puppet-dictators have sold out their own people.

Oh, please, you have no freaking idea what the load-out for any aircraft is, much less a Russian aircraft.

Wrong.....certain Russian anti-ship missiles can be fired, then targeted.

You can thank Bill Clinton for that, since he gave the Russians two Cray Super IIs....I guess Clinton felt obligated after giving North Korea two plutonium producing nuclear reactors.

No....that's not how it would have happened.....Palin would have leapt into the air.... snatched the aircraft with both hands.....eaten the aircraft.....then took a squat and crapped a nuke to throw at Putin.

Geo-Strategically....

Anytime someone says war or conflict, he screams nuclear war.

Ignore him.

A blatant act of war. Good thing you're not making the decisions for that ship and crew.

That would have sent a strong signal to Putin that we mean business and won't allow a threat to put our crews in jeopardy. What the Russians are doing is taunting putative president Obama, something that would never have happened in this situation under Reagan, Bush 1 and 2 or even if Palin was president. They are making this putative president look extremely weak on the international scene and it is a utter embarrassment to us all. In 2016 we need a strong pro-military president who will use common sense and take a strong stance on agression around the world when peaceful nations are threatened by hardline goverments.

News from The Associated Press

Common sense?

Like shooting down an aircraft over international waters that has not launched an attack?

Brilliant!

No doubt it holds lots of appeal to the other Putin-promoters on the right, though.

Well... we are on their side of the world, in their backyard. Don't think for a second, that if there was a Russian ship sitting off of the coast of the US that we wouldn't be doing the same thing to them. Or, is it only OK for us to do it, but when we're fooling around in someone elses backyard, they can't defend themselves?

In short, here is a little hint: If you don't want Russian fighters buzzing your ship, then stop meddling in their back affairs, and stay out of their backyard.

It was a recce variant FENCER. Our naval forces know it's a recce variant based on its electronic signature long before it gets within visual range of the ship. Reconnaissance passes happen at sea all the time. We do it, they do it, everyone does it. Nobody is shooting each other down, especially when it's evident that the aircraft is a known recce variant.

Is it possible for the Russians to spoof the electronic signature to launch a surprise attack? Maybe. But at some point it would have to "raise its true colors" in the electromagnetic spectrum or in its approach tactics to carry out the attack.
