Still a fair or flat tax would be logical and would prevent favoritism..
Clearly you do not understand what I am saying. A flat tax would favor the rich.

Sales taxes are, in effect, regressive taxes. The more you make the smaller percentage of your income you pay in sales tax and vice versa.

Therefore a progressive income tax compliments the regressive sales tax in an attempt to make things even close to equitable.

Taxes are not about equality or morality, it about taking the least about of money to run the nation. END OF STORY.

A Fair or Flat Tax would prevent favoritism and loopholes, as well as taxes the black market...

If a few people have to pay their fair share...fine. We are all equal under the protect of civil and criminal law, why not tax law?

Governments are made up of real people, when you aim a gun at the "government" you are aiming a gun at someone that works for the government. Are you willing to shoot at a US soldier?

Clearly you have no basis in the fields of political or general economics.

There is a reason countries like Norway, Sweden, and Germany run on zero or minimal defecits compared to the massive debt accrued by the United States.

A higher tax rate provides for more education for more people. With more highly educated people we can attract more high end manufacturing jobs etc. we can efficiently make more products here in the US. This is what Germany does very well.

This eliminates trade deficits, increases the tax base, and German companies are very profitable. However this profit is distributed more equitably amongst all employees as German has a very high minimum wage. Thus The average German has more income to spend on goods boosting the economy.

A higher tax rate provides for single payer health care. The cost per capita of healthcare in Norway is $4,000. In the United States it is more than double that. The reason...

Since everyone can afford to get preventative care in Norway fewer people get preventable but serious diseases such as obesity, heart disease, and certain types of cancer. Since way fewer Norwegians get these diseases which are often very easy to detect early on and/or prevent the government spends way less on health care than individuals and the government spend in the US

I don't know about him, but I certainly wouldn't have any qualms about it if that's what needed to be done.

Do you think US military personnel somehow become saints when they put the uniform on?

The government will turn guns on it's own citizens over some cows but they will do nothing to stop the hordes of illegal aliens that are invading our country.

Maybe off topic, but I think tax, at least in the case of US taxation is to shape people's behavior. If they just want tax, they can say 50% of all income, but no, they say if you do this and this, you get tax 15%, but if you do this and that, you get tax 25%. If you do just that, it is 50%. It is complexity of it change people's behavior. You can talk about all the loopholes, but loopholes is created to change the behavior.
