I fail to see how preferring to be the primary breadwinner in a relationship automatically means someone has an inferiority complex. Does that dynamic work both ways? Does a high earning career woman with a lower earning husband who stays home with the kids have feelings of inferiority too?

That's true. The bureau of labor statistics found that the pay gap between men and women is virtually entirely determined by working condition, not gender. Women prefer jobs with shorter hours, less travel, and less uncomfortable/dangerous working conditions while the more you expect someone to spend time traveling, the more hours you want them to work, and the worse the work environment is the more you have to pay someone to do that work. Women don't get paid less because they are women, women simply choose jobs that pay less. Men working those same jobs also get paid less than other men, while the fewer women who do choose more demanding jobs get paid more than men who don't choose such jobs.

No, you're just yet another example of a politically correct liberal who wants to warp reality to fit their politics instead of taking reality for what it is. Men and women deserve equality under the law, but men and women are not the same socially. Humans have evolved over thousands upon thousands of years. Liberals are big on laughing at the religious right for denying science in evolution, but when it comes to the effects of evolution on human beings it is the liberals who are denialists. Men went out to hunt and women tended the children for millenia. Men evolved to look for women who could bear and care for their children. Women evolved to look for men who could protect and provide for their children. The ones who were most successful at that are the ones who passed their genes along to the next generation, thus reinforcing it over the passage of time. You can't erase all that simply by declaring your new enlightened view is that gender is a social construct. Reality doesn't care about political correctness.

That's already happening. It's the "where have all the good men gone?" phenomenon.
Schlafly can't do simple arithmetic. As I posted 5 pages or so ago, perfect equality would have a small group of high-earning women at the top and a small group of low-earning men at the bottom unable to find a mate with the income difference they so desired.
Of course, women who make their own money have options now - and so they don't have to scheme to snag the first breadwinner who comes along to be considered respectable.

Oversimplification. There is no lack of indigenous societies that have been run as matriarchies. Research even suggests that women find different types of men attractive when they're pregnant as compared to when they're not.
