Wow, I am so out of line biologically! I am married to a man six years younger than me, I make more money (always have) than him and I am better educated. Yet, we have been married for 10 years, he is my best friend and a soul mate, he is a wonderful father and a helper around the house. He is also a man with great confidence and a high self esteem that he could care less who makes more money and he is always so proud of me (which is a big turn on for me). We are certainly doing something wrong if we are raising men with such low self esteem that they can't deal with women making more money.

You better hide before the conservative Taliban comes after you!

That is the crux of the matter, isn't it? Marriage is supposed to be the ultimate partnership - one flesh and all that - yet some men are so fragile that they can't move beyond income disparity?

yeah.... this won't work on a macro level. IMO there are too many women willing to get married young while you guys are going for Masters and PhD's.
I know A LOT of women with degrees and good jobs who can't find a mate.
Phyllis Schlafly--Equal Pay Will Leave Women Unable to Find Husbands
Like a husband is the be-all and end-all. I've known women who have had their entire weddings planned out from childhood. The husband is only an accessory.....it seems like any husband will do. Just get to the altar!
In any case, I live is a post-marriage society. Hardly anyone gets married here. Only about 26% of couples are married.
