Gas Prices Rise Again, Move Closer to $4 - 24/7 Wall St.
Let me ask again - are you in favor of having president Obama nationalize oil companies so that the government can control the price of gas, or are you a free-market capitalist. ? You can't have it both ways. The president currently has nothing to do with the price of gas at the pumps. Take your beef to the crude oil speculators buying futures. That is how the price of your gasoline is determined.

Quantitative Easing is the opposite of a free market. You can't have it both ways.

Let's cut off QE and see what happens? What do you say? If it's not needed and not doing anything why are we still doing it?

The US supply vs demand is not really an issue in regards to pricing. You have consider where our oil is sourced and refined.

The real reasons as to why gasoline pricing has changed are:

1. Cyclical changes. You can follow this back for decades.
2. Bush Stimulus
3. Bush's sharp increase in spending.
4. Obama maintaining Bush's spending levels.
5. Obama Stimulus.

Why not reverse it and tell your boss that people in China work for $2.00 per week, so you are overpaid and do not want a raise that is coming up.

My main point is not so much the fuel costs which Obama and his policies has helped to raise. Instead it is the clear and open hypocrisy of the leaders of the (D) party, and the liberal media in attacking Bush every week, yet giving Obama a total pass.
Except it wasn't Obama's policies. This thread discusses it in detail: //www.city-data.com/forum/polit...ve-closer.html

what was it when 0bama took office, something like $1.90/gal? Gee, those oil companies must love 0bama, making them rich off that $100 a barrel oil. Bet they are glad Boooosh is no longer president, he kept oil prices low for most his presidency. 0bama got elected and BOOOM! oil prices shot up and never come back down.

Booosh, Boosh, and Booosh.

Funny how that man has not had any input in policy for going on six years. If the man had died in 2009, the left would resurrect him, jut to blame him for everything.

Hey when my prices tick down some next week, will you praise Obama for lowering gas prices? I didn't think so.
