the keystone pipeline will do one thing.... make the Koch brothers a lot of money, some estimates go to 100 billion

It will not provide one drop of fuel for the US
It will not provide more than 24 jobs
It will leak over the largest aquifer in the world, you see all pipelines leak, you just rarely hear about it.

So the keystone will have ZERO impact on gas prices but will cause a further dependance on fossil fuels and potential great risk to our environment.

You want to see gas prices drop? Buy a Tesla and put solar panels on your home - lack of demand will drive the price down. Personally I'd love to see a barrel of oil fall to $5 so the Saudi's and others wouldn't have the $$ to fund all the terrorist groups.

The keystone pipeline doesn't reduce US imports, it just shifts them. It's also not needed. Our imports are down by 4 million bbl/day under President Obama. At the rate we are going before long we will not be importing oil at all.

Demand fell but prices still rose. I agree that the pipeline (or lack of) isn't the problem but it is interesting to note why you are against it. Boogymen.

my question is this- why are gas stations allowed to raise prices immediately but then drop them slow.

think about this

the tanks when they fill them up they pay X dollars for it.

then when it goes up they raise the price instantly even though they paid less then current market value

then when it goes down they wait and lower the price slowly.

so you literally getting screwed from both ends

$3.19 for regular unleaded at the gas station I passed this morning, me thinks some are whining much about nothing.
And a Clue to the Clueless: the government does not set the price of gas, either learn about the topics you want to discuss or try less talking and more listening, that is the simple start to gaining more knowledge.

Keystone does Nothing for the US, the few jobs it would create would be temporary and the product is piped to the coast for sale abroad not for us in the US, the areas around the pipeline have to worry about breaks and to having the eyesore in their backyard for no good reason. Seems like you might need to go gather a bit more knowledge on the topic before attempting to discuss something you obviously know little about, hmmmmm

In December of 1998 Imported Crude was under $10/bbl. How quickly the morons forget.
