Nebraska state Sen. Beau McCoy (R), who is campaigning for governor by driving around the state in a white pickup truck with a ladder rack, wants GOP primary voters to know that he'll push back against President Barack Obama's administration. In an ad that hit Nebraska airwaves this week, McCoy confronts an Obama bobblehead doll mounted on a fence post—and knocks it to the ground with a swift backhand.

He's gonna push back against Obama as governor of Nebraska?

LMAO...some of these guys have a seriously inflated sense of themselves. He probably won't be able to push back against the hayseeds in his own state...let alone Obama.

These farm state corn pones are a piece of work.

Is this a joke?

I am a lifelong conservative Republican and I cannot believe how freaking stupid my party has become. It's like we want to lose. It's like we are having a contest among eachother over who is the dumbest candidate.

Someone needs to save the GOP from itself and kick the morons out of the party.

Hey...the rank and file DEMANDS this stuff. They want fresh meat and these guys serve it up. If it wasn't a hit, he wouldn't be doing it.

But I understand what you're saying. It's pretty pathetic.

Not a lifelong Republican, but one who has voted Republican many times, I totally agree. Republicans should tape their mouths shut, and they need to disassociate themselves from the radical "let 'em die" far right wing. Bring back Colin Powell/Joe Scarborough sanity to the party, and I could vote R again.

The ad would be much more effective if they showed McCoy pulling a plug on the side of the Obama bobblehead's head......and then watched as it deflated.

Political advertising needs to focus on what the candidate wants to do for the electorate, not the negatives of the competition.
