Of course "pain medication" can cause hallucinations, it would depend on the dosage and what it is combined with.

It's common knowledge that persons with psychiatric or emotional issues often use chemicals to self-medicate.

Bath salts contain over 100 different compounds, currently used toxicology screening tests for about 40 of those compounds. A negative test is not definitive in the case of bath salts.

Considering that posters in this thread and others are claiming that marijuana causes hallucinations and insanity, the claim that pain pills cause those conditions is just as valid. And yes, pain pills can and do cause hallucinations in certain individuals.

You have not ruled out marijuana being the only cause of the Miami face eater's psychosis.

Everything the anti-drug side predicted seems to be coming true --- but more quickly than predicted:

Pot problems in Colorado schools increase with legalization - The Denver Post

"We have seen a sharp rise in drug-related disciplinary actions which, anecdotally, from credible sources, is being attributed to the changing social norms surrounding marijuana," said Janelle Krueger. Krueger is the program manager for Expelled and At-Risk Student Services for the Colorado Department of Education and also a longtime adviser to the Colorado Association of School Resource Officers.

It wasn't bath salts.

According to a statement on the full toxicology report by the Miami-Dade medical examiner, the only drug detected in the lifeless body of infamous Miami face-chewer Rudy Eugene was marijuana.
Yes. This was a local issue for me, so I followed the story closely. No salts found.

That's the problem with pot. No one knows for sure what additives are included. Unless it is monitored by the FDA and folows complex labeling, safety/ potential adverse reactions, contraindicated meds and concominant pathologies and indications.

Face-eating only occurs in the United States.

A new form of animal cruelty:

Pooches on pot? It’s a growing problem, experts say

“We see dogs stoned out of their minds for days. They’re a mess,” said Tim Hackett, director of the Colorado State University veterinary teaching hospital, USA Today reported.

So.......the gun goobs would now classify Richard Kirk as an "irresponsible gun owner."

I suppose the potheads can just refer to Mr. Kirk as an "irresponsible pot smoker".
