You want me to believe that the government can hide such a grand conspiracy when it can't even keep prism hidden? And the leaker . . .was standing on privacy and other concerns. Nothing as grand as shooting down a jet or shooting kindergartners.

govt policy that was exposed fairly quickly. Plus its collecting information/data and setting up a legal process that was dubious. Not exactly shooting kindergartners.

Evidence doesn't really support this. I see IRs targeting groups, and people making decisions. But not some grand conspiracy. Don't blame on malice what is better explained by incompetence.

What a conspiracy. If it was such a conspiracy, how do you know about it? Plus collecting info on people and back room politics is far from getting the media to bury a story that would make them rich.

Science journals have been publishing both warnings and non-warnings for 70 years. The government thought booze was bad and banned it. This isn't a conspiracy anymore than making hookers illegal is a conspiracy.

Tuskegee syphilis experiment was ended (while it was going) by a leak to press. yet it wasn't a hidden conspiracy. . .it was a experiment in full light. they published reports. They were supported. . .it was a clinical trial. Proof of poor ethics? sure - but not a conspiracy. if the media, once they found out, was quashed. . I would grant you the counter narrative.

Here is another one, get this.. supposedly we have a spy plane that travels faster than a .30-06 bullet , and is built from titanium that we purchased from Russia during the cold war, and can fly from Los Angeles to Washington DC in 64 minutes... can you believe that ?!? Oh wait, been there done that almost 50 years ago...

Those aren't counter narratives. Those aren't the conspiracies . . .no media was quashed. Fox wasn't bought off. Cnn didn't miss-report on purpose.

Media is one of the main controllers of a population. It is no surprise that those with an agenda would try to control the content of media stories and do so with bias.
There is no law that says the media has to give the truth, nor investigate it. It is only expected. Not to realize that agenda people spend considerable time, money, and development in this area, and also that they would have the media ridicule and try to make other news claims out to be ridiculous, is a fools belief.
Searching for the whole truth and good investigative reporting, without the influence of those with an agenda has been absent for many, many years. And only a fool doesn't realize that our two party system is no more than subterfuge by those that are above politics and that wish to remain in control.

Thank you for confirming my post. You can call it what you want, but the bottom line is we cannot believe things just because the government say so (or says nothing). They do things all the time that are hidden and/or misleading to the public.
