"Pandemic influenza in pregnancy was associated with increased risk of fetal death. Vaccination during pregnancy reduced the risk of influenza diagnosis. Vaccination itself did not increase fetal mortality, and may have reduced the risk of influenza-related fetal death during the pandemic."

Influenza virus can cross the placenta and infect the baby, resulting in death of the baby.
Influenza vaccine does not kill. Influenza infections do.
This woman had 3 miscarriages. Apparently, she had taken the flu vac before, although it didn't say if she had gotten it during those pregnancies.
She had a note from her doctor saying that he did not recommend her getting the flu shot during her pregnancy, yet she was fired anyway. Must have been an anti vac doctor?
As another poster said, if they were so worried about her exposing patients to the flu, they should have just put her on a leave of absense until after the baby was born.
Her. We came to a respectful agreement. She has never pushed the flu vaccine at all.
In other words, you followed the advice that you got from the whackos, instead of the professionals, just like everyone in the affluent anti-vaxxer crowd.
The poor folks who can't afford to sit around reading whacko websites follow the advice of professionals and are therefore far less likely to be affected by this daycare law, so your deep concern for them can be put to rest.
And you proved the point that the previous posters were making.

I'm not sure how you came up with this based on what I said. You have no clue what my doctor and I discussed. I'm also not so sure you understand the poor population as much as you think you do if you think that they put blind trust into doctors and pediatricians.

Flu vaccine does not cause miscarriage. Flu infections can cause miscarriages. If her doctor told her not to take the vaccine, he was poorly educated and not a very good doctor.
Wrong and wrong. This has been refuted a thousand times, and more, by medical science.
Belief in this is like believing the world is flat. Quite frankly you can keep your ignorant belief system, but New York and the rest of the world is moving on from giving denialists the time of day after all these years. If people don't like it they can go somewhere else for their daycare or pre-school.
Despite the fact that you apparently think #1 (interference with parents' rights) is fine, it is you who's wrong and wrong.
Although Kramerkat's statements that the vaccine is ineffective (not always) and dangerous (maybe), are wrong because she's made a generalization, she's more right than you are.
It's a fact you might want to research since you're unaware of it, that the efficacy of flu vaccines varies wildly from person to person, season to season, and flu strain to flu strain. With respect to potential side-effects/danger, if you want to chance adding yet another vaccine to the multitude that your kids are given, and choose to ignore reports of side-effects, go right ahead.
Even the Malawis who left the country to avoid forced vaccines and who were rounded up like cattle and forced to return to be vaccinated at gunpoint thanks to the Bill Gates Foundation, are smarter than some Americans.
