Yes it is..

Advantage Plus is a limited benefit policy. It is not a Medicare Supplement policy or certificate, and does not fully supplement any federal Medicare health insurance. If you are eligible for Medicare, you may review the Guide to Health Insurance for People with Medicare available from GTL.

It may not meet YOUR definition of insurance, but its to help pay hospital bills, nursing homes and other costs.

There is no mandate that they have Medicare.. Its even in Bold. IF you are eligible.. What if you arent?

And you still havent cited me anything which says they cant..

ding ding ding..

You arent required to take medicare..

I dont think you even know what the discussion is about..

My fault, when I think insurance I think of policies that cover procedures/specific events. The advantage plus is insurance in that you get something to cover deductibles if you become ill, but not comparable to health insurance as most understand it.

Go to ehealthinsurance and try to find coverage for a person over 65. Everything is medigap. You can also call an insurance agent, but most are closed right now.

I've provided links to at least one government agency which says insurance is available for those over 65 other than Medicare, and even lists some of them, with insurance companies phone numbers

You've provided absolutely nothing other than stand here going

"you dont know"
"You have no argument"..

Cite me ONE source which says you cant buy insurance on the private market if you are 65+.. JUST ONE..

Tell me how the Erie Deparment of Senior Services Insurance Resource Center doesnt know as much as Weichert..

I do wonder, however, for those senior citizens who only rely on senior medicare, how can they possibly afford stent procedure (thought medicare only covers 80%) and good after care prescription drugs?

When you really think about it, stent procedure is really a very common procedure for seniors.
Most won't be able to afford it and many other procedures, but that is what Obama wanted, after all.
