...and this is why there will never be an uprising against big corps. We are too busy fighting over the stupid left vs right.

Face the fact that things are different.
The real problem here is dependence. Our economic system requires a dependence on "employers" by "employees." At a higher level it's simply interdependence in general. Think about it: every one of us is completely dependent on others to "provide us" a means of sustenance. Until this changes, there will always be a problem with the system.

But, rather than searching for alternatives, our civilization is stupid enough to actually increase the levels of this dependence rather than reducing it. Dependence will always breed discontent, inefficiency, and "black sheep."

Your AR isn't going to stand up to chemical, biological, nuclear, and other mass destruction weapons, or even typical military weapons these days.

Our government has learned well how to efficiently control the populace from such famously efficient examples such as Hitler's Germany. The model was very effective in controlling any "static" coming from the population, with such organizations as the SS (which had hundreds of sub-agencies), gestapo, special groups of the wehrmacht, and even branches of the Waffen SS. They very effectively curbed any attempt at revolt from the average German. Such an attempt, or even attitude, put a German citizen in the death camps with the rest of the "subhumans." I don't think that would be so far far-fetched here, either. How many times have I read a line about "wiping them all off the map" (referring to those with different political philosophies). Once you've demonized and dehumanized, it's easy to kill en mass.

You may as well forget a revolution and let the police state and enslavement run it's course. Because it will at some point when we all see the folly. Even Hitler may have seen his folly at some point, had he lived.

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said Wednesday that she was briefed before the release of a controversial intelligence assessment and that she stands by the report, which lists returning veterans among terrorist risks to the U.S.

In her statement Wednesday, Ms. Napolitano defended the report, which says “rightwing extremism” may include groups opposed to abortion and immigration, as merely one among several threat assessments. But she agreed to meet with the head of the American Legion, who had expressed anger over the report, when she returns to Washington next week from a tour of the U.S.-Mexico border.

She condemns and villifies those very people who have been out doing her regime's bidding--those who have paid the price for her and her cronies' exploits. That's priceless and a great example of how warped Ms. Napolitano and her entire regime really are.

Greed is in today... look at tv.. they put out materialism as the way to live... mansions of the rich in the reality shows..

Kick out God and the vacuum is filled with greed, materialism, money and power. High class low life is fueling Americans.. the rich and the poor are all jumping on the bandwagon and saying what is in it for me. What can I take...

At one time the bottom line was not money. It was putting people to work so they could live and share some prosperity . Not with greed but a concern for one another.

The cost of living is skyrocketing and will continue.

Our president stated he wants gas prices at $8.00 a gallon. Obama also stated he doesn't care if electricity skyrockets in price. Why should he care. He lives big.

The government throws crumbs to the poor as the jobs disappear taking away their self worth. Some actually enjoy taking as if that is there right because they are poor. This country is self -imploding from the inside .. too much greed, too many takers, easy on the illegals , yet hold a different standard to American born.

One day it will come crashing down. Greed will destroy this country.

Americans are too apathetic to revolt. They've already watched the big money guys take the country and leave them table scraps....And they haven't done a damn thing about it and never will.

One half of this country wants them to have even MORE money, power, and influence over our political system (conservatives).

Anyway...just airdrop large pizzas over the revolt and that revolution would be over.

The caving in of the federal government to corporate america's wishes, as evidenced in this study:

America is an oligarchy, not a democracy or republic, university study finds - Washington Times

for instance, an unwillingness to stop illegal immigration and lunatic, job-destroying programs such as the H1-B fiasco, have enriched a few at the top and obliterated the middle class.

If this situation continues, with large amounts of middle class jobs eliminated through off-shoring and the importation of cheap foreign labor (both legal and illegal), there is going to be a massive uprising, and it will not be pretty. There are already tent cities forming across the US in many places, so when the federal government handouts run out, and people can no longer feed their families - it will be game on.

A second study here showing how the US' middle class is falling further and further behind other nations:

http://www.nytimes.com/2014/04/23/up...ichest.html?hp

The lunacy of importing the poor of the rest of the world, propped up with welfare dollars paid for with tax dollars from a rapidly shrinking middle class, along with the transfers of hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of jobs overseas to places like china, has now come home to roost.

This mass jobs transfer destroyed the US' manufacturing base, and combined with the mass reduction of wages and career options for everyone from construction and IT workers due to the importation of cheap foreign labor - enable by compliant, tone-deaf congress whose primary goal is to satisfy its corporate benefactors - will lead to an inevitable uprising.

Personally, I give this country another 20 years at most before things explode, and am very fearful of the results. No revolution is bloodless, and given the sheer volume of weapons in the US, will likely lead to huge numbers of dead.

I pray that someone, somewhere in congress has the intelligence, courage and character to recognize that we are riding a train wreck going off the rails, and will step in and stop it.
This is another example of why conservatism and conservatives and conservatives now claiming to be libertarian are nearly always wrong.

The OP correctly identifies the problem of corporate/business interests dominating the attention of the government which includes federal, state, and local, and working only for their interests of more money and power.

The OP correctly identifies the problem of a shrinking middle class, loss of jobs, stagnate wages, etc are the result of the government only listening to the rich and business interests.

But who does the OP directly blame as the cause of the problem? poor immigrants.

conservatives are filled with bigotry and hatred.

They always have to attack some out group of people as being the source of the problem. SMH

LOL conservatives really? What a coincidence! I’m sure that GE’s getting back $3.2 billion from taxpayers has nothing at all to do with its political connections in the White House.

Obama’s favorite CEO gets GE out from paying any US taxes
Big Company With Ties to White House Paid No Taxes; GE Also Got Corporate Welfare and Bailout on Special Terms

Oh, wait... 79% of all green-jobs funding in Obama’s $800 billion stimulus package went to foreign companies, Australian company, Chinese and other foreign wind power. The stimulus package also showered money on left-wing community organizers and liberal lobbying groups.

Or not hungry enough feed a population well and you don't get real civil unrest. You may get people playing at it. they may go camp in the park to show how unhappy they are. But you want people to fight they have to be choosing between dying from gunfire and dying from starvation.
