Another surprise is now that the open enrollment has ended, what happens to the unfortunate people who become unemployed and can not afford COBRA? Are they going to be fined for the rest of the year until the next open period in Jan.15?
And the best yet, as the person stated above, without the young people need to make it "affordable", the rates have no choice but to sky rocket.
Like that genius Nancy Pelosi, "Let's just pass this bill so we can see what's in it"
Those who become unemployed can sign up and not wait until the next enrollment period. This will probably kill COBRA as it is usually very expensive.

Darn it, so much for the "The MSM is Obama's mouthpiece" meme.

You mean, like ABC, NPR, CNN, and MSNBC who were all quoted in the article as championing the lies Obama gave them at the private meeting?

Seems the White House had a private pow wow with some reporters and the President told them that 35% of the enrollees were under 35. That was important because the government said they must reach 40% of the enrollment of the "young invincibles" (18-34 year olds).

So it seemed like there had a been a huge surge in this group in the last month, and the lap dogs rushed to report what Obama had told them.

But turned out Obama duped the idiots again. Only 28% of the enrollees are in that coveted 18-34 bracket, the rest were kids. The White House "changed the metrics" of the announcement to make it sound closer to hitting their goal, when in fact, the number was largely unchanged from Feb.

Spinning Obamacare success: The president highlights a less relevant number

If only the President and his team spent as much time trying to help Americans as they did constantly changing the measurements to lie about how things are actually going.
When I read the "Fact Sheet,' I had 2 reactions --- he's lying again Or they have found hundreds of thousands of 6, 10, 14 year-olds who 'signed-up' for Ocare.

The WaPo Fact Checker was kind to give Obama 2 Pinocchios instead of the 4 he deserved.

He only deserves 4, now that is so real funny! Man cannot open his mouth without a lie coming out of it.

And no some people don't accept lies from a sitting President, even if from your own party. That is unacceptable to me.

Typical 0bamabots don't know squat about making payments. They just ride the free train.

They seriously think fooling around on a website means they're signed up. The skipped the Make Payment Here page.

Sadly, they're proud of themselves. They think they "done good".

They seem to be angry even though the numbers are true, but that this disclosure wasn't what they wanted to hear. They disclosed a number that wasn't the exact metric they wanted to hear, and didn't ask for the number they wished to hear, but it was disclosed with the supplimental material. I agree it's cherry picking to look more favorible...but the numbers are completely true even according to the article.

The article says the numbers are true while the release is not what they wanted to hear. How is this lying?

Is this more, or less, cherry picking than Romney's 47% comments?

People under 18 don't pay premiums.

This is a pretty classic spin you're attempting here.

I agree on your last statement! There were a lot of people on CD (Republicans) who were not happy with Bush especially towards the end of his office. It constantly amazes me how alot of Obama supporters here just go along with whatever they are told...no questions asked, no other opinions, nope, nothing bothers them. Hard to have an adult conversation with someone who can't form any opinion other than what they are told.

Yes, when there was something Bush did people that voted for him but disagreed said so.

Not in Obama supporter's cases though.
They will defend even what they know is a lie.
