Lol, sexual union is the god-sanctioned way of having sex: Missionary style, in the dark, through a hole in the sheet, and only for the purpose of trying to make a baby. Just like they did in the Garden of Eden.

That may be the line, but it's not the legal argument. And a legal marriage is more than just "sharing property." Taxes, visitation, medical decisions, custody, legal liability... it's a very extensive list.

It seems that you are hung up on sharing the word "marriage" with partnerships that you personally don't approve of. Fine, change the state laws and call everyone's marriage a civil union, or whatever instead of having the same word used for both civil contracts and sacred ceremonies.

Gay people birthing kids feels like they are cheating to me...

I have no problem with gays adopting... who wouldn't want to be adopted? But birthing a kid? You need sperm and if you are truly gay sperm is the "devils juice" so to speak.

What? So if a straight couple need a sperms donor to have a baby, that would be considered "devils juice?"

I don't know man, I just can't get too worked up over this stuff. The only time I'm worried about sex is if and when Mrs. Applcr0331 is giving me some. That's about where it should stop.

Give it a rest.

I know it sounds crazy....lol

A straight couple trying to have a kid is natural... it's how kids are produced. I don't have a problem or see the confusion with getting sperm donated if they run into problems...

HOWEVER...

If you are truly gay I can't see how having kids is part of the equation.

I'm not saying I'm right...lol. Just confused

Why are you confused?

The desire to have kids is independent of one's sexuality. It's either there, or it's not.

I know quite a few gay men who have had biological children through surrogates. Lesbians have it easier/cheaper since they just need the sperm and not the oven and eggs.

You sound like you need to sit down with someone who is gay so they can best explain this too you because it sounds like you have some misconceptions with gays.
