Point is, is that it's the same for the liberal talk point against voter ID as it is the conservative talk point against banning (so called) assault rifles. The crux of the matter is less government interference overall (which is of course a huge part of the topic at hand to begin with, as many who flee Blue states do so to escape nannyism by the government).

Less government, more liberty. That's the answer for both ideologies.

How convenient for liberals to sidestep the matter of DETROIT by pinning it all on car industry issues.
Detroit didn't fall into ruin over night, it is an ACCUMULATION of LIBERAL policy.

If there wasn't a single conservative minded citizen left in the US, someday the entire country could look like Detroit and if that doesn't scare you as an American you have no sense in you.

Also whoever it was that said conservatives are a very small population, you've been watching too much LEFTIST CONTROLLED media, liberals always want you to think their extreme left-wing ideas are bigger and more prevalent than they really ought to be, but that's what happens when you have one group control so much of what used to be news media. Why else would they want to give amnesty to millions of illegals? Compassion? Only the naive believe that's why. They want to change the demographics to further tilt the vote in their favor. People here illegally who want free stuff love the Democrats.

"January 2, 1962 was the last day that a Republican held the mayor’s office, and the city has been under uninterrupted Democrat and union rule ever since.

With its 48 unions and nearly $20 billion in debt -- an entire third of which is unfunded healthcare liabilities for city retirees -- Detroit saw its peak population of nearly 2,000,000 in 1950 dwindle to about 700,000 today. Of those 700,000, a third live under the poverty level and a fifth are unemployed. According to a letter from Michigan Governor Rick Snyder that accompanied the bankruptcy filing, Detroit’s murder rate is the highest it has been in 40 years, and the city is home to 78,000 abandoned buildings. In short, it is a city in absolute ruin"

In general the premise of this thread is correct. I've heard of a lot of people AND businesses moving to less liberally governed areas. Conservative policy favors less regulation, and lower taxes. Liberal regimes are always pushing for bigger government, more regulation, less FREEDOM, HIGHER taxes, more DEPENDENT non-WORKING citizens collecting government money being paid by WORKING people, more money wasted on non-working government programs and illegals.

Coincidence does not = causation.

The fact is that economically, Detroit was a one-trick pony, becoming a major metropolis when the US auto makers had more than 90% of the market to themselves and Americans, enjoying the post-war boom with plenty of savings they couldn't spend during the war, bought new cars from Detroit every couple of years; driving them on an expanding highway system using cheap gas. There was no way that was going to last forever. Detroit's basically a large-scale, modern version of an Old West boom town that went bust when the local mine stopped producing or the railroad bypassed it.

But the voter fraud is statistically insignificant. So your point is???

And really, how many are fleeing blue states because of politics? Lots leave when they retire. Lower cost of living in some cases for them, much better weather. Some may be transferred.

Read some of the state forums. Many people leave their home states, go to places like Charleston, Atlanta. Nashville, etc thinking they can get a job there. Most of the local response is - are you nuts? There are no jobs here, times are tough. If you have very specialized skills, maybe. Or a lot of luck, possibly. So a lot of the job seekers give up, pack up, leave.

More liberty? Sorry, you'll have to define that. Nannyism as well.

The red states have to import blue state workers because the red states refuse to invest in education.

Welcome to our Red state, please think good an hard for what you believe in before you vote.
There is this thing called the United States Constitution that I wish people would look at before posting what they think the laws should be.
