Remember - Donald Sterling's wife Shelly owns 50% of the Clippers...and she did not do anything against the NBA's owner's by-laws and constitution. On what grounds can she be forced to sell her 50%? Nope - she can not be forced to sell! Now whatcha say?
Well there hasn't been a vote to force sell, so there is no idea if the entire team would need to be sold or just Donald Sterling's portion.
Neither did her husband. I'm not lawyer and I didn't stay at a Holiday Inn last night but to me the Commisioner and 3/4s of the board of governors can do whatever they want.
If Sterling challenges the NBA's action against him with lawsuits (plural), and he will, I think the NBA will find out that they cannot do just anything they 'think' they want to do. The NBA has the easy part over with (talkin' big) - now Sterling will set the NBA back on their heels...including a few fellow [Jewish] team owners themselves.

Sterling agreed to the rules of the NBA, he violated those rules and now is banned for life from the NBA. There has been no vote to force him to sell the team yet, until that happens it is just speculation.
Donald Sterling is smart man. Yeah. He's racist. No doubt.
But he got rich by being smart.
Just look at the stats. Sterling mentioned he would rather rent to Asians (Koreans) over Latinos and blacks. Just look at the stats.
Which race defaults the most on loans (mortgages, student loans etc). There is your answer. You might not like what he said. But he hasn't gotten where he's at in life without being dumb.
If that's what his logic was as far as the housing thing goes, who can blame him. I would want to limit it to who's more likely to pay and pay on time.

A race cannot default on a loan/mortgage.
Race is a social construct.
Individuals are responsible for their actions. Not a race.
Donald Sterling was an attorney who made his money by doing everything attorneys have a bad reputation being.
I wouldn't call that smart, just incredibly crafty and cutthroat/ruthless.
I still see none of the screamers care about what snoop dog said............not a shock. You only get outraged about what your told to.
