"In a statement released after the verdict, Aruba said "natural gas development has long been prevalent in Wise County," and dozens of companies operate hundreds of wells there. The company further said it complied with state air-quality limits and that its experts made strong cases countering the Parrs' claims in court."

Do you believe fracking is big deal? Should fracking be safer or illegal all together?

There is nothing unsafe about fracking. It has been going on for many, many years.

There is absolutely no proof that fracking has contaminated water (it takes place thousands of feet below the water table), nor proof that it has caused earthquakes (ridiculous on it's face)

Fracking "fluid" is mostly water and sand.

It is the radical "environmentalist" Leftists, who don't want any kind of development to take place in our country, who oppose fracking. They don't care about jobs, affordable energy, or any kind of economic growth. They oppose everything, and they know nothing.

I am not claiming it is unsafe or should be illegal and probably never will.

How do you explain the contaminated water then?

Even Rex Tillerson (Exxon CEO) doesn't want fracking near his home, joins neighbors in lawsuit.

Total NIMBY move by the way.

I do want to see the documentary Fracknation! And the seismic element is interesting to me (though it seems relatively minor). Meanwhile, I think fracking is an important/key element in US energy options/resources..... if we're still seeking energy independence.

And, this lawsuit sounds like an uncommon circumstance, and likely to be appealed. So, stay tuned.....

Companies refuse to release information on what Fracking fluid is and what chemicals are used. To me that says NO.

Not true. It's about 90% water and sand. We were told what it was when we were solicited about a land lease. It's not really a secret. Where are you getting your information?

What contaminated water?

How can fracking, which takes place well below the water table, "contaminate" water?

There has not been one proven case of water contaminated by fracking. Not one.
