Cattle on BLM land constitutes less than 3% of the beef sold in US today. I really doubt if this has much of an impact on the price of beef in our stores today. Stop all the drama about the price of beef increasing " Stop the grazing on public lands and you significantly increase the cost of raising that beef which is reflected in the tremendous increase of cost/pound of that beef at the market." As you say "People...wake up".....
You have no idea of what you speak. I live in cattle country where cattle have grazed in season on public land for over 150 years. Cattlemen take care of that land, or did before BLM kicked them out and took over "management" which has destroyed much of what the cattle in coordination with Mother Nature preserved.

My point is that grazing is not without negative consequences to the land. That is probably why Bundy prefers to have his cattle graze elsewhere instead of his own land.
One just needs to check the agenda of Harry Reid, his son and the purpose of Harry Reid's ex-campaign manager (I think it was or some other very strategic part in his elections) being appointed as head of BLM. That will tell you the true story...why do you people in Nevada keep electing Harry Reid when it is so obvious that he is padding his own pocket at your expense? Geez!

This was totally about Bundy deciding not to pay grazing fees. Please provide info/links where the grazing fees are used by the Feds to take Bundy to court.
Also provide links where the Tortoise (not turtles) are being killed by the hundreds by the BLM. The only tortoise euthanized were sick ones.
Yep, they wanted him gone for non payment of grazing fees.....same as any dead beat tenant.
I have cattle around my place a lot, I have no idea if the ranchers pay grazing fees......the cattle don't bother me and it's food in the market. Keeps the wildfires from happening, but those cows are only here for 3-4 months out of the year. How many deadbeat humans do you live around?

Not if a person puts it somewhere without anyone knowing. The turtle starts producing, then you claim you have to save "the turtle" and take the land away from owner. Happens all over the USA, just not in anyone's own backyard.......yet!

I've known a lot of Mormans during my long lifetime. None of them were anything but honest, responsible and hard working. If Harry Reid is a Morman then he is the exception and living outside of what Mormans believe and live.

After 140 years of grazing, the land is actually better today, than it was 140 years ago.
